I really appreciate KeyMe! I needed an extra key for my mailbox and I had been on a wild ride all around town with every store I went to told me that they didn’t make my key because it was considered a “special key”. After having no success getting an extra key for my mailbox, I had stopped at my local grocery store. I noticed the KeyMe box at the check out lane and the KeyMe box stated it could make ANY key, so I gave it a try and with success! I had the extra key in my hand in 5 days! Yay! Thanks KeyMe! It was super easy using the KeyMe kiosks and reasonably priced. I will recommend KeyMe to any one I know needing to make an extra key!

I accidentally locked my keys in the trunk while loading groceries. Zip Locksmith arrived quickly and opened it without leaving any marks. Easy and convenient. Making them at the kiosk has always worked. However, ordering the fun colors/print which requires mailed options has not worked for me. I’ve order 2 sets of house keys prior which were not cut exact to original and did not work. 🤦🏻‍♀️

I was able to speak with the actual “locksmith” (you’ll understand the quotes later) at 9:03 in the morning and was given an arrival estimate of 15-20 minutes. Didn’t show up until around 10:00 and then spent the next hour (for a standard low-tech doorknob pick) struggling, trying to convince me to let him use an air-bladder that would cause “…minimal damage…”, and talking with 2 other Locksmiths on the phone before he managed to open the lock. If he had spent as much time trying to open the door rather than trying to convince me to damage my door, he would have had the lock picked in 15-30 minutes! When it came time to bill, he charged me the high-end of the estimate (though I was visibly upset because he caused me to miss an appointment I briefed him on before accepting him), every possible fee, and sent a receipt that I can’t open. When I asked for a business card, he gave me something with no identifying information on it. Finally, when I called KeyMe to discuss the disappointing service, they kept cutting me off, asking me if I received the “service”, and asking me (repeatedly) why I was calling despite me multiple statements that I was not looking for a full refund, simply some consideration. Save yourself a lot of time, frustration, and possible missed commitments and go somewhere else for locksmith services!
