Called last night because an elderly neighbor was locked out of his house and asked for help locating a locksmith. Initially they were helpful and even helped us through some communication issues (language barriers). Shortly after contacting them I received a text message asking “do you still need our service?” Which I replied “yes, please”. Only to wake up this morning and the technician was a no-show.

My car key randomly snapped one evening after an 8 hour shift at work. I had to use a wrench to drive my car, and was not particularly comfortable with the situation. My Dad wanted to help, so he did some research and found this location near Danville, VA. I called, and was kindly greeted and promptly given an appointment. At the appointment, the locksmith realized that they’d have to order the stub for my key since it was for an older Volkswagen vehicle. He ordered the part and got me in less than a week later for the final rekeying / fix. It works great, didn’t cost too much, and everyone I met was incredibly kind.

They did not speak when I, the customer , came in and greeted them upon entry. He didn’t respond to anything I was trying to ask even after I
requested two house keys to be duplicated and explained how far I had to travel to even find a decent place to do it since I live in a very small town with little to no locksmiths available in the area.
He purposely messed up a simple house key when you can clearly see that it is not cut correctly and it is very sloppy work. They do not allow cash refunds so if he messes up, he’s not going to give you a refund even though that should be an option, especially if you know you’re not the best at what you do so of course people will be requesting a refund. It’s a scam when a business specifically says no cash refund. Very strange.
