Used the automated kiosk in Lowes to copy three house keys. Quick and easy, all three keys were accurate and worked well. I liked the options, and the DIY process.

I had four keys made in the Minute Key kiosk machine. I followed all directions carefully and accurately. Went home and tried each key in my new door lock and none were able to lock or unlock my door. I have tried using these key making machines two other times in the past and never have they worked. I was reluctant to try this Minute Key machine in my local Walmart but the nearest locksmith is 30 minutes away. This is the last time I will ever waste my time having keys made from Minute Key.
Called the customer service with the 800 number on the machine. Reached a live person fairly quickly. It was extremely difficult to understand him. I repeatedly asked him to repeat his comments. After finding my record of purchasing the 4 keys and having already declining a credit instead of a refund, I was informed that since 30 days had passed I could not get a refund, only a credit. These keys were made for a lock for my vacation cabin 3 hours from my permanent residence and I only visit my cabin once a month, hence the 30 day wait.
I will not waste my time with a Minute Key machine again after three unsuccessful attempts. The 30 minute drive to the locksmith did result in four keys that work properly. I recommend saving your time, should you need keys made, by going to an actual locksmith.
