This team is amazing! I was working in the Tappahannock area and needed a locksmith. Many I called could not support the rekeying needed to be done on a commercial property. When looking to match keys to doors/locks one key worked. Inspecting the key I noticed a phone number. It was “The Locksmith” so I called. Their understanding on needs and the urgency was absolutely clear. They were onsite in an hour, repairs and replacements for 5 locks all keyed identical was completed in 2 hours. Amazing performance and cost! Highly recommend this team! Excellence at a very fair price!

We have used Paul professionally dozens and dozens of times, with the services ranging from security re-programming, chip key replacement, lock cylinder reflashing, etc. and he has always been punctual, courteous, and fair. I would highly recommend his services to anyone in the area who is in need.

Now I never am the person to complain because I understand that things change when it comes to business. I’ve worked in customer service since I was 16 and I am now 20 years old so I tend to have more patience for stuff like this. But this is absolutely ridiculous!! When I first booked the Smith I got told that is would be $152 and some change and that they would arrive in THIRTY MINUTES!!! If I knew it was going to take OVER AND HOUR I would have taken my business somewhere else! So after waiting the thirty minutes I check my messages and see that they changed it to the 75-105 minute wait!! So I called back because I had some other things to do before I go to work and I tell the lady who picked up the phone that what she said was wrong and it is a bit ridiculous that she said thirty minutes and then I get messaged something completely different and how I didn’t have the time to wait that long. So she switched me over to customer service that was WORSE I told him the situation and he said that he would check for me. 30 minutes pass and I was getting a little frustrated but I calmed myself down because I thought well if he is taking this long he is doing something about it! WRONG I WAS ON THE PHONE FOR OVER AN HOUR!! Only TWO things this man said first when he picked up the phone telling me who he is and then saying he will try and fixe the problem! All he did was nothing for over an hour waisting my time and my money!! I picked this place because I saw the good reviews out way the bad but apparently not at all at the kilmonic VA!! If you call I will just say now DO NOT CALL THIS PLACE IT IS ATROCIOUS!!!

I called one day about a missing key for a roof rack. Guys says not a problem. Went a few days later & had a new key made in short order! Very professional. They have always done a good job!

Jacob came out to fix my front door locks and deadbolt yesterday. He did an amazing job, spent extra time to get it precisely adjusted. He did not charge me for that extra time. He was also delightful to work with and very professional. I will definitely be a repeat customer in the future. I highly recommend them!!!

I don’t do reviews, BUT, in this case I will make an exception. I am a busy contractor and I don’t have time to waste. Making some extra house keys has been on my to do list for awhile. I don’t like trying new things either.
So, I tried the minute key machine in my local hardware store to just see what it could do. It was so easy! I was in and out with three keys in 3 minutes. It would have taken me 10 minutes to find someone to cut them for me. All three worked when I tried them, too! I’m a believer in the minute key machine now.
Who says you can’t teach an old contractor new tricks of the trade?
Highly recommend.
