My key fob had not been working well and I desperately needed a new one. I came here based on a personal recommendation. Laurie, helped me even though they were 15 mins from closing. She was quick and thorough. It has been a few weeks since getting my new key and it still works great! I Would definitely recommend this place.

Edward was great. Professional and competent work. 20 minutes for 2 keys and much cheaper than other companies. Fluent in Spanish as well. Amazing local service. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.

What can I say. it was easy and it got the job done. Good service and fairly quick. I got an extra key when I cut 2, so I ended up with a third spare key for free.

The key doesn’t work all the time. I have to insert it into the keyhole and take it out a few times, and when it finally works, it gets stuck. I then have to twist and turn the key multiple times and pull with a lot of effort. I only use it when my husband is with me because he’s the only one who can get it out of the keyhole once it’s stuck.

I had a functioning key for a Honda Accord. Problem: The plastic casing was broken, so it wouldn’t hold the key securely. But the key worked, as did the electronics. I needed a new plastic casing. The local Honda dealer quoted a price of $185. I went to a local Safeway with a KeyMe machine. I’d read that the machine often could “read” the electronics in the key, but there was a possibility I’d have to wait three-four days for the key to be made elsewhere and shipped to me. I could live with that.

I get to the machine. (Note: This key is for my son’s car. He’s driving the car with a backup key. I’m driving my own car.) Even though the video display shows a key/fob very similar to mine (that is, a car key with electronics in the fob), when I plug in the type of car and year, a message comes up that the machine can’t read–much less duplicate–the key. I need a technician. I call the help number on the machine. No answer.

There’s another number that also shows when there’s a problem. I call that. First person I reach doesn’t speak English. The second person I reach speaks English, but simply takes my information to send out a mobile unit. But…where am I parked? I explain again that the plastic shell on the key is broken. The key works just fine. She can’t understand that. Finally, though, she promises to have a technician call. And he does promptly call. His charge to fix/replace the plastic housing would be $225–more than the dealer would charge. I tell him that and he says he’ll “check with his boss” to find out if the price can be lowered. He again calls back promptly with an offer of . . . . $195. I thank him but decline the offer.

In summary: Despite KeyMe’s website, the machine can’t duplicate or reproduce a key for a Honda Accord. When I reached a technician, he proposed a price substantially MORE than the dealer.

I could live with the machine not being able to duplicate the key, despite its online promises. But then the price being quoted was more than the dealer’s price. And I really didn’t have confidence that KeyMe even understood my situation or problem.

I recently called a locksmith for a car lockout, and they said the technician would give me a call for the price but he didn’t he said once he arrive. The tech arrived in 3 minutes and opened the car in 2 minutes, but ended up charging me over $200. I’ve used locksmiths before, and previous prices were $60 and $120. But over 200 is scam. And I tried to call locksmith the first time they hang up on my face

This is awesome!! I have had constant struggle with making arrangements for my dogsitter’s to get in and out of the building when I’m out of town. Now I don’t ever have to worry about it again because they can always get it when I leave this key/FOB with them. It looks like a key, but it’s a FOB. They had a few different versions of these. One even sticks on your phone or whatever you want to put it on.

My apartment complex wanted to charge me $50 for another FOB, if they would even sell me another one.

I’m very pleased with this! I’m telling everyone about it!!

It is funny to see the differences between actual user reviews and paid reviews.

They use a bait and switch pricing model where you have 2 choices. Choice one you pay double what most places charge (11$) and you get a key that doesn’t fit your door and doesn’t match the original key whatsoever. They also give you a choice to pay an additional 3$ on top of the already overpriced amount to get a precise cut key. I figured this was optional as a cut key should work without the upcharge, but I was wrong. 11$ down the drain. What a shady business model.

I see you replying to each of these reviews, so if you read mine, then my order ID was 108NFD. I’d appreciate a refund. I’ll modify this review to reflect if that happens.

Horror story: Called this morning locked out of my vehicle. I was told the technician was supposed to be calling me at 7:00 AM. That didn’t happen. Kept getting delayed. Once I finally got in contact with the technician he didn’t give me a quote, his eta kept getting delayed which I was only ever able to find out about after waiting intervals of 30 minutes and then him not coming, then calling again. Eventually, around 10:00 AM so basically after 3 hours of delays, he was working on unlocking my vehicle. Then he charged me $325. I called multiple numbers from the company trying to get an answer for why it was so expensive and kept getting the run-around. Finally got in contact with the technician and he said it was because it was hard to open my vehicle. $325 dollars. I asked to speak to his manager and he hung up on me.
