The machine experience was fine. When all 3 keys came out though, all 3 were sharp and jagged with burrs. When I got home to try the keys, the 2 with the designs on them were trash. Neither worked at all. The brass key worked fine. Spent almost $18 for 1 key… Not a good experience at all and will not be buying any more from you.

The keys I had made at the kiosk were suitable to turn the cylinder for locking and unlocking. However, I found these keys to be a little tedious to insert into the key slot. While they were cut precisely to shape, the edges of the cuts felt a little rough and I believe that contributed to the difficulty inserting the keys. My preference would be that these edges were smoothed enough to improve insertion and the feel of the key in my hand.

I am disappointed in the service I received. Jenkins came highly recommended to me by several people. When I made an appointment to have one lock rekeyed and to replace another with a keyless entry device I bought, I waited three weeks. I was uncomfortable waiting that long since others had keys to the house I now occupy, but I waited. The locksmith was very professional and on time. However, he did not know how to program my keypad. There are instructions, but I thought by telling the scheduler the type of lock I had, Jenkins would send someone who knows how to program them as part of customer service. When I called to inquire today, I was told 1) if I wanted someone there earlier, I could have scheduled it as a lockout (more expensive) but no one told me that when I made the appointment, and 2) if I want someone to come out to assist with the keypad, it’s $60/hour for someone else who has that skill. No thanks. They should have sent someone with that skill in the first place, and it would have been part of the hourly rate I was changed then. Beyond that, the woman on the phone talked over me the entire call until I asked her not to, and to please let me complete a sentence. She let me finish, then said she was trying to tell me something. Yes, she was, by talking over me. I had a terrible customer service experience, and will never use them again. read less
