I called Cofield looking to get a key made for my truck. 4 other people around Franklin recommended him. Without a doubt it was worth it. I made a call to the office and we set up a 2pm appointment the same day. He was on time and had me up and running in under 30 minutes. We have used Paul professionally dozens and dozens of times, with the services ranging from security re-programming, chip key replacement, lock cylinder reflashing, etc. and he has always been punctual, courteous, and fair. Initially I did the locksmith near me and called from that list. All of those were call centers that were not helpful. MD Lock Doc was the only one that answered his own phone. Mitch gave me a price over the phone and was at the house in 30 minutes. He had my truck unlocked in less than a minute.
Very friendly, reliable, and most of all, the best price!

These people are fake locksmiths. They advertise as being mobile locksmiths but just straight up take peoples money. A lot of times they charge $160 dollars to unlock a car up front and charge you $80 to cancel. They take your money and call actual locksmiths and try to get them to do it for $90 or whatever. They’re out of New York or something and advertise everywhere in Virginia that they are actual locksmiths. They charge way too much up front. Real locksmiths would never do that.

They literally call and email other locksmiths to do the same job for them for less. They are basically a 3rd party who just calls other locksmiths. Then half the time they don’t actually pay the actual locksmiths who did the job for them.

These people are a straight up scam and idk how they are legally getting away with it. If they have a dcjs license for the business the dcjs needs to be made aware of these people.
It’s a straight up scam.

The dcjs of Virginia needs to investigate these people for running a straight up scam.

These people will just straight up take your money.

Please. Don’t give these people a dime. Real locksmiths would never charge up front like that

This team is amazing! I was working in the Tappahannock area and needed a locksmith. Many I called could not support the rekeying needed to be done on a commercial property. When looking to match keys to doors/locks one key worked. Inspecting the key I noticed a phone number. It was “The Locksmith” so I called. Their understanding on needs and the urgency was absolutely clear. They were onsite in an hour, repairs and replacements for 5 locks all keyed identical was completed in 2 hours. Amazing performance and cost! Highly recommend this team! Excellence at a very fair price!

Came into town for the holiday and we accidentally locked ourselves out of the cabin we rented. The owner did not live nearby and no other key close by. We were leaving the next morning on a Sunday. Called Mountain State Lock and the owner was 100 miles away but said he could stop after and help me out. Price was great and service was great. Definitely saved the day.
