We have used Paul professionally dozens and dozens of times, with the services ranging from security re-programming, chip key replacement, lock cylinder reflashing, etc. and he has always been punctual, courteous, and fair. I called one day about a missing key for a roof rack. Guys says not a problem. Went a few days later & had a new key made in short order! Very professional. They have always done a good job!

These people are fake locksmiths. It’s nothing more than a kiosk that miscuts house keys. They charge $160 up front to unlock your car. Then charge you $80 to cancel. It’s a call center out of New York. They take your money then call actual locksmiths and try to pay them $90 to do the same job.

It’s literally a scam. Idk how they are legally getting away with it. It’s a 3rd party. Scam, scam, scam. These are the people who make locksmiths as a whole look bad.

A real locksmith company would never charge you up front like how these people do. The dcjs needs to investigate these people for fraud. All it is a kiosk that cuts house keys for way too much. Insanely overpriced.
And it’s because they call other locksmiths and try to pay them to do it.

Please, please, please do NOT give these people a dime. Ace, Lowe’s, Home Depot all make you pay afterwards.

Please don’t give them any money for car keys.

They have no actual locksmiths of their own. It’s a nation wide scam. They do the same thing your insurance company does when you need roadside assistance. Progressive insurance doesn’t come out. They pay another company to do it.

Same way except you actually pay them $160 or more.

This team is amazing! I was working in the Tappahannock area and needed a locksmith. Many I called could not support the rekeying needed to be done on a commercial property. When looking to match keys to doors/locks one key worked. Inspecting the key I noticed a phone number. It was “The Locksmith” so I called. Their understanding on needs and the urgency was absolutely clear. They were onsite in an hour, repairs and replacements for 5 locks all keyed identical was completed in 2 hours. Amazing performance and cost! Highly recommend this team! Excellence at a very fair price!

While i felt the keys were expensive at $9 a key, I was in a place where I needed the service so was happy to pay it. Very convenient in the Safeway store in Middleburg, VA and very technologically advanced machine to make keys. Thumbs up! .

Not sure if this is the normal schedule or a recent change, but the shop wasn’t open on Saturday. I stopped by around 10:30 AM and it was completely closed—lights off and the door locked. The sign on the door says they should be open, and the automated phone message says the same. I spoke with someone (likely an emergency dispatcher) who also confirmed the store should be open. They said they would relay my message, but I never heard back.

UPDATE: I am pleased to announce that after purchasing another fob from a different locksmith, I have yet to have any technical difficulties with remote start, locking or unlocking my vehicle using my REPLACEMENT fob in over a year!!!

Imagine leaving your vehicle running locking the door with the fob upon exiting and go to get back into your vehicle and the fob doesn’t work!!!! Well that’s what happens when you listen to THE KEY GUY Mr I didn’t sell you a defective key fob.

After getting a YELP notification that the owner responded I had to respond!

I got the get 2 and one free deal. $7.99 each none of the keys work! I paid $17 something for keys that don’t work. I feel like I just wasted money. It was the “key making” machine at Walmart in Jonesville VA. Very disappointed
