Several months ago, the key for my 2015 Ford F-150 broke off the fob. Initially, I attempted to use pliers to start the vehicle, but after two months, the key was severely damaged, and starting the vehicle became impossible. The dealership quoted nearly $400 per key, requiring an in-person visit. I searched online and found Lone Star Locksmith Services with excellent ratings. I contacted them, and Jacob promptly came to my residence, providing an outstanding service. I now have two new keys and fobs, including a valet key, all completed at my home. I am very grateful for the quick service, competitive pricing, and the convenience of on-site service. Thank you!

I called last week to make an appointment for today to change locks on three of our doors. Owen arrived on time, did a fantastic job and was so nice. We will be repeat customers. We highly recommend this business! Also, he’s a veteran and we love doing business with people who served our country!

Fast service and great prices. “Car Keys Express” out side of Sam’s club, wanted to charge me $50 just to cut a simple vehicle key (No programming). I came to My Local Lock Smit and was charged $10 per key.
They also were able to program and cut a Fiat keyfob with no issues. Something the competition could not do.

Overall very pleased with the service. Will be using them again.

Chris is amazing!!! He responded to my immediately, showed up when he said he would, got me in my house withing minutes, and I thought was a very fair charge. Seems to be a very honest professional that wants to build his business off referrals. I will refer Chris to anyone I know that needs a locksmith for their home or car.

Do yourself a favor – check their prices before you go anywhere else. Their quality is great, too.

Some time ago, we got a keyfob for my wife’s newer Toyota Camry. Actually, I should mention that my wife got the keyfob because it’s not always safe to send my wife to some shops alone. The dealer had quoted us a prohibitive price. But Mike’s was very reasonable. And, after we got it, we couldn’t tell the difference between the two – Toyota logo and all. Her car used the key to start the car and it would hang up, sometimes, when I tried to flip open the key. So, I carried that one for a while until I realized that there was a piece that holds the key into the fob that wasn’t pressed all the way into the key and was dragging. I pressed it the rest of the way in and it’s as good as new. I’m sure they would have fixed it if I had asked them, but I stopped by, once, and they were at lunch. Doesn’t matter – I fixed it and it’s good as new, now. (Maybe better)

Fast forward a few years and I finally got a nicer car. Of course, it only came with one keyfob. I asked the dealer and it was prohibitively expensive, again. Later, I ran into (not literally) a mobile locksmith hawking car keyfobs in the Sam’s Club parking lot. I asked them what it would cost and should have been tipped off by them mentioning what the dealer would probably charge, suggesting that my Sam’s Club membership somehow got me a discount, and fear mongering of what would happen if I lost the one key. I mentioned that mobile locksmith’s price to my wife and she’s like, “We should check that place in Rowlett that made the keyfob for the Camry.” We don’t even live in Rowlett, anymore, but on my first day off, I gave them a call and their price was about half of what the mobile locksmith had quoted! 😲 Yes, please!!! I’m planning to drive the 30min from our new home, this afternoon. I’m sure they’ll do a great job and I just hope my wife doesn’t use the new keyfob to go cruising in my car without me! 🥺😂

Update: Yep, they produced a keyfob identical to (or better looking than) the original at the price they quoted and in less time. I don’t know whether to give my wife the new, prettier one or the old one. But, I’m happy to give them my business and pass along this review to save folks from going without a quality keyfob at a great price. Did I mention that Chris(?) is super friendly? He was – both on the phone and in person. 😁
