Beware. I asked Sure Lock to come pick the turning door knob on my house. I was told it was not pickable which is untrue, they tried airbags and then destroyed my doorknob by drilling it. I could have done that myself. They sent an unexperienced tech out and then tried to charge me 699$! Bad people and bad business. I google how much to drill a door knob and it returns 150$ to 250$. I google if Schlage is unpickable and it returns no. The least they could do is tell you its seven hundred bucks so you can tell them to get gone.

Several months ago, the key for my 2015 Ford F-150 broke off the fob. Initially, I attempted to use pliers to start the vehicle, but after two months, the key was severely damaged, and starting the vehicle became impossible. The dealership quoted nearly $400 per key, requiring an in-person visit. I searched online and found Lone Star Locksmith Services with excellent ratings. I contacted them, and Jacob promptly came to my residence, providing an outstanding service. I now have two new keys and fobs, including a valet key, all completed at my home. I am very grateful for the quick service, competitive pricing, and the convenience of on-site service. Thank you!

Nice people but complete waste of money. Needed keys made quick, pulled up and confirmation that key could be made was fast. Paid $60 for 2 keys, dropped them off, and I wake up to calls that neither key works at 6AM. Maybe I came on the wrong day but the guy was really nice at least. Might go better with a different key type

I had a key in my ignition that was stuck WHILE the vehicle was running. I made the call off a shop suggestion. Very happy with Jerrys service. He was there in 15 minutes.👏🤯 He had my ignition removed in my Volkswagen in 2 minutes!! From the time he pulled into park until I was able to start my car and leave with a brand new ignition was 20 minutes!!!👍👍👍

Rude and expensive. Doesn’t cut keys in Baytown location. Wants you to drive to Pasadena.

I already drove here to this location that indicates that key duplicating is a service on the listing.

Wanted $50 to merely cut a key I was bringing. I told him he’s just cutting a key, like they do at Home Depot.

He facetiously asked if home Depot would cut it. As he knows they typically will not (cut your brought in key).

Then dropped the price to $20.

I ended up getting it cut for free on a Hillman keyhero. If you have ever seen this machine, it basically cuts the key for you, it is so easy a Home depot employee can do it for free in seconds (literally). Blanks are $5. This is not to minimize the Home Depot employee. It’s to minimize the skill necessary to cut a key. Small things like this lead to additional business. Basic principal.

Not sure what I would have been paying $50.

If you are looking for a locksmith move on to the next one these guys are a big rip off. I would leave no stars if it were an option. I locked myself out of my house they wouldn’t give me an estimate but said $29 off the top for service call after drilling my door knob to get it open he said $297 for the work & $39 for service call. $336. Highway robber & $10 over initial quote. Guy requested I pay with Zelle I’m sure it was so I couldn’t dispute the charge. It’s freaking the end of the month & Chrisrmas this charge put me into a deep state of depression. Shame on them

I contacted KeyMe to unlock my car because I had gotten my keys locked in the trunk. When they came, the guy Antonio A. showed up to retrieve my keys. He had informed of the price and that if he had to get in trunk, it would be $50 extra. I replied, “ok.” He managed to get in my car, but the lock system didn’t allow us to open the trunk, so he had to remove the lock cylinder from my driver side door. He had informed me that he was having a hard time removing the cylinder as I watched him and asked what he was doing. He grabbed a small flat head and began trying to pry it off from the top of the cylinder and at the bottom, in which he caused damage to my vehicle and chipped my paint to the metal. Once he finally retrieved my keys, he was having a hard time putting the cylinder back on as well. I watched the process from beginning to end, as did my friends husband because he tried to assist by trying to open my backseat so we could climb thru the trunk. Not once did my friend touch the door, only Antonio. I have asked this company to compensate me for the damage to my vehicle or refund my money in full amount, and they have only offered me $50 in return even tho their driver is responsible for the damages to my vehicle. I do not recommend anyone do business with a company like this that does not take accountability for their technicians’ carelessness in managing a task he is supposed to be trained to do. Also, their disregard for the personal property of their customers.
