Over all decent. Biggest problem was the delay in how long the machine took to reset after the key was put in incorrectly. Also there was a loud “Beeping” siren type noise letting you did something wrong. The sound was so loud that it hurt my sons ears even after he had tried to cover them with his hands.

Again the keys worked great….the over all experience sucked due to the delay in the machine resetting itself and also the loud noise it makes when something goes wrong.

Read the reviews before hiring. I’m not the first person this has happened to.

I set up an appointment yesterday for locksmith services for today. Yesterday I got called from 2 seperate numbers informing me of my appointment, one of which included the estimated price of $150-$180 for my service and address. The appointment was initially set for 10am. The appointment was then rescheduled 3 times for the same date with calls from 2 different numbers from which I was initially contacted.

The technician came and finished his services and the called me to notify me of the total, $385.

He stated he was contracted on and that I would need to settle the difference with Poteet Locksmith.

I called Poteet Locksmith and without even asking for a location the lady on the phone tells me that she doesn’t see my service request. I proceeded to merge her with the contractor on the other line. I explained the situation again, she claimed that I must have hired another company hung up the phone.

I explained to the technician the price I was quoted and that I was not paying more than that. I understand if it was a $20-$40 difference but it was more than double my initial quote.

I called poteet back and the same lady answered the phone, telling me that she heard the technician say he would drop the price to $280 and that she was able to find the request and that I should pay the $280 because there was nothing more she was going to do about the price.

She said the price difference is something I would need to figure out between myself and the technician(contractor).

I explained that the customer should not be held responsible for miscommunication in pricing between Poteet Locksmith (the company I hired) and the technician (contractor) they hired and she said she had nothing else to discuss with me, the price was final and the only thing she could do was put me on hold. I was on hold for 3 minutes with no response.

I called the contractor back directly and he agreed to honor the price I was given of $180.

There is absolutely no reason to have the customer argue about pricing with a contractor they themselves hired. If it had been disclosed from the beginning then I would have been more understanding. No communication on the possible price change once the service was done and an absolute lack of professionalism from the person in the office. Terrible experience.

Well I got one key made out of 3, it kept rejecting 2 keys, one a house key and the other a padlock key, the cashier came over to help me but to know avail
