My mom has a 2013 Mitsubishi that she bought used about 5 yrs ago and it only came with one key. My dad has been trying to get another key made for the longest time so I finally took him and the car to a local guy close to the small town they live in which is about 3hrs from Austin. Boy did this guy do a number on us. After 2 extra keys were made i walked away with 3 keys that didn’t fully work including the original. The only thing the original could do was unlock the doors with key fob buttons. One spare key would unlock the door manually but wouldn’t start the car. The other spare would start the car but wouldn’t unlock the door. I drove the car up here and took it to Margaret & Kim. They were able to re-cut the spare that started the car so it would also unlock the door and then took the guts out of the key fob that no longer started the car or unlocked it manually and put it in another and cut that one and I was back in business with 2 fully functional keys. I was beyond ecstatic. All they charged me for was the shell key. It took a hot minute but those ladies figured out the mess and I was truly grateful. They absolutely know what they’re doing. Would 1000% recommend.

Best locksmith service in Georgetown, I got a new proximity fob for my Honda pilot, technician showed on time, he programmed the new key in seconds.
The price was very reasonable, better than the dealer.

Title: Extremely Disappointing Experience – Proceed with Caution
​I am writing this review to warn others, especially women, about my recent experience with IQ Locksmith and the owner, Isaac.
​I hired this company to help secure my home, specifically requesting a high-security solution. Isaac charged me $650 for a commercial-grade lock, assuring me it was pick-proof and would prevent unauthorized entry. Not only did the lock fail to function properly—it actually became stuck—but the issue I hired him to solve remains completely unresolved.
​When I contacted him to address the malfunctioning hardware, he refused to return to service the lock or provide a refund. Furthermore, I later discovered that the lock he charged me $650 for retails for approximately $70. The markup, combined with his service fees, feels like predatory pricing.
​Beyond the poor workmanship and the significant financial loss, I found Isaac to be extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. I strongly advise others to look elsewhere for their locksmith needs. Do not trust your home security or your business to this individual.
