Rude and expensive. Doesn’t cut keys in Baytown location. Wants you to drive to Pasadena.

I already drove here to this location that indicates that key duplicating is a service on the listing.

Wanted $50 to merely cut a key I was bringing. I told him he’s just cutting a key, like they do at Home Depot.

He facetiously asked if home Depot would cut it. As he knows they typically will not (cut your brought in key).

Then dropped the price to $20.

I ended up getting it cut for free on a Hillman keyhero. If you have ever seen this machine, it basically cuts the key for you, it is so easy a Home depot employee can do it for free in seconds (literally). Blanks are $5. This is not to minimize the Home Depot employee. It’s to minimize the skill necessary to cut a key. Small things like this lead to additional business. Basic principal.

Not sure what I would have been paying $50.

I felt the price was kind of expensive but I needed the keys right away so it was worth it for that reason. Also appreciate the buy 2 get 1 deal. I would use this kiosk again if needed.
