Great place! If you need a key fast and it’s close it’s great! They do charge about double than home depot (10 dollars at the machine rather than 5 at HD) but for me needing one key and it’s on my way it’s great!

European cars expert/ excellent service
One day I was at the mall with my family and my Audi suddenly decided not to recognize the key (chip failure) so I couldn’t start the vehicle to take me back home. After calling ten different companies, it turned out none of them could do anything about it because “European cars are really hard to work with,” and they all said I’d have to take it to the dealership—which would’ve meant an absurd amount of time and money.

One day, as my last hope, I called another locksmith company, and they recommended Juan from “Chief locks and Auto”. He literally saved the day. He was incredibly professional throughout the whole process—communication, the repair itself—and he explained in detail how he would transfer the data from the old key to the new one.

He pulled it off, and I had my car back in less time and for way less money. Juan, you’re the best.

I had such a great experience with this locksmith when they helped me change out the battery on my key fob. It was quick easy and incredibly convenient to have a company so close to me here in Leander. While my key fob issue was simple I also got to witness more complex issues being quickly resolved and taken care of with confidence and efficiency. Had a great experience here. Had a vintage piece I needed the lock drilled out, to have a replacement lock and keys. Was in a time pinch and they got it done within a couple hours with, what I thought, a reasonable price.

The guys at Central Keys CTL have done a great job both times I’ve used them. Once was to assemble and re-key a lock for my truck when it was broken in to and most recently to come out to the house to make a key for a gate lock that I never got when I purchased the house. Both guys John and Keith helped me were super friendly, the service was quick and the work was done very well. I’ll definitely continue to use them in the future. They also repaired a smart key fob for 2019 Nissan Altima for no charge ah it was just a battery replacement I had to provide Thanks again guys. I won’t be looking for any locksmith in future

Lost my key and called in and they came the next day to make me a new one and he was good at communicating with me and was fast at making my key only took him 10 minutes to make my key definitely recommend.

Edit: they sent someone out to fix my fob!
I hate leaving bad reviews but after trying to reach them numerous times and no one ever calling us back (although I was promised a call back “in a few minutes”), I have too. They did a great job re-fobing my car but a month and a half later, the fob is no longer working. We have tried calling to find out next steps, but cannot reach anyone to help us. This was an expensive re-fob and just need help with next steps. So great service, but if you need help afterward, good luck.

Called at 2:30 pm, promised call within 15 minutes. Called back 20 minutes later telling them I was never contacted. Promised someone would call. Over an hour later I called again because I was never contacted. Said they would look into it and I will get a call. As of 10:30 pm, still no call. If I could give zero stars I would. Don’t promise calls if you aren’t going to follow through.
