I had an amazing experience with CJS Locksmith today! John was extremely professional, kind, and quick to help. He communicated clearly the entire time — from pricing, to arrival time, to explaining the process. Even when he realized he had the wrong key at first, he immediately let me know, went to get the correct one, and still honored the same price. That honesty alone meant a lot!

He arrived when he said he would, finished the job fast, and my new key fob works perfectly. As a mom with a little one inside, he was very patient and understanding, which I appreciated so much.

I went to this location after getting prices at five other locksmiths to program a transponder for my Toyota Corolla. I provided my own key that was already cut, Door lock and unlock functions were already programmed in the remote, but I could not program the transponder. When I asked for the price over the phone, they did tell me that if the key needed additional codes, it would cost more. I was aware that this was a possibility for this particular model and Year. When they hooked it up to the machine, it confirmed that codes would be necessary, increasing the price they had originally quoted. However, the locksmith creatively solved the problem and saved me money. He could have easily quoted a higher price than what he charged me, but was honest and understood what could to be done to get the key working. Thank you very much for your honesty and good work. You are a problem solver.

When I called I got a price and once the work was finished the charged $50 more. The guy said it was a mobile fee, but I asked about that the first time I called. My dad owns a tow truck and could’ve easily taken it to their shop. Unprofessional.

This company saved the day for me. I figured out I had lost my keys at 7pm. They told me a price over the phone and stuck to it once on site. Not too bad a price. They communicated on their ETA and arrived when they said they would at 8pm. I was in my car with a new key within 20min. Losing keys sucks but they helped me out.

This is the first hardware store I’ve ever walked into with knowledgeable employees.
Came in looking for a part for my toro zero turn and Jamie (the mechanic) even offered to install it right there and then at a reasonable price.
Hands down the best small engine repair shop in Houston — highly recommended!
