From the phone call to the finish was a really good experience. I called to ask if they could repair a car fob and program a new fob that I had bought. The lady told me about these new replacement parts for fobs that fixes the most common problem for $30. She was professional on the phone. I went there and the young man immediately fixed the fob. It was what the lady had said. He then programmed my other fob. I don’t know how long I was there but it seemed less than an hour. I was busy talking with the lady. I enjoyed her company. I wish I had gotten her name.

True professional it’s very rare to see someone with the expertise to pull modules out of Porsche’s and BMW’s, make you keys the PROPER way, at the same time for a very fair price compared to the Dealer or as I like to call them, the Stealer.

I called to get 2 keys cut for my vehicle and was told it would be $160 because I already had the keys, but because they were not supplying the keys they couldn’t guarantee they would program. I told them that’s fine. They came out and cut the keys and asked was I sure I wanted them programmed and I said yes. He told me it would be an additional $120 to program them. I told him Nevermind I’ll just pay the $160. Then he told me it would be $210 because it was $170 plus $40 charge for coming out. I told him that was not what he told me over the phone. I paid him the $210 but that’s just terrible way to run a business.

Got my new house rekeyed today by Mike and he did an awesome job! In and out in a little over an hour! We had three doors to get rekeyed and he made it super fast and easy. 10/10 would use again!

They are the best here. I was quoted a price of $175 plus tax and tip for new moped keys with another company near Nashville, and Johnson’s gave me a new set of 2 keys for $45. They even agreed to meet with me multiple different times since my schedule was changing today, outside of their normal business hours to get it done! A real breath of fresh air

Unfortunately, I had a really poor experience here. I financed a 2013 Hyundai Sonata hybrid from DJ Hughes/Mr Recovery in July. It broke down immediately on the way home. They were apologetic, came out and fixed the bad ignition coils they didn’t catch before selling it. Didn’t charge me. I thought that was nice.
Couple weeks later, another ignition coil went out. They fixed it again, no charge. I still think that’s nice, but I’m starting to wonder why they didn’t catch any of these easy fixes before they sold it to me. I’m starting to worry what else might be wrong with it.
Couple weeks later, it started making crazy noises and shaking. Whole engine apparently went out, it needs total replacement. I had to get it towed back to them. DJ said well, we can put in a new engine but you’ll have to pay for it. I said I would rather just have my money back, considering you sold me a car with all these problems you somehow didn’t notice before you took my cash for it.
DJ said nope, I can’t give you any money back, but I won’t make you pay me the rest of the eight thousand you technically still owe me. I said I would certainly hope not, considering you have possession of the car and it doesn’t run or drive.
I asked for something in writing to state that the contract is null and void. DJ says, “you can’t just void a contract,” but he is willing to tell me via text message that he will not pursue further payment.
Hopefully that’s legally binding and he doesn’t change his mind.
I am now out almost $3,000 with absolutely nothing to show for it. I guess I should be grateful it wasn’t worse.
Be careful here. They seem like nice people, and they did appear to try, but only up to a point. I would not recommend this business to anyone who needs a working vehicle instead of an expensive mistake. They are still going to take your money either way.
