Friendly, fast, and very reasonably priced! They got to me quicker than the quoted time, unlocked my vehicle fast, and got me back to my keys without any hassle. It’s refreshing to find honest people who don’t try to mark up prices or take advantage of the situation. Highly recommend!

I am extremely disappointed with my experience. I scheduled an appointment for 4 p.m., and the technician never showed up. It’s now significantly late, and I haven’t received any communication or apology. I expected better reliability and professionalism, and I won’t be using their services again.

I needed a locksmith for a new building to install an electric striker system on the front commercial aluminum door to let clients in and a code lock on a rear steel door.

I called (3) local companies. Only Vans was able to perform the installation the most secure way which was to cut into the edge of the door frames to mortice out a space where the deadbolt/latch get inserted which requires a special tool that only Vans had. (If you can’t mortice out the edge of the door frame, the option and less secure method is to drill a hole for the deadbolt/latch to go through.

One company was afraid to do that and the other did not have the experience nor the tool.

Jake from Vans was the technician who was assisted by Scott and they performed an outstanding installation.

Jake recommend and used a Schlage Encode Plus, Smart Wi-Fi Deadbolt Lock with Touchscreen Keypad, Keyless Front Door Entry, Apple Watch Unlock, Built-in App Control, Alexa and Apple HomeKit Compatible, Matte Black for the rear door code lock.

Jake assisted me with connecting to WIFI and teaching me how the app works to change codes and use other features.

Jake keyed both locks the same, (1) key does it all (Code lock has key as back up in case batteries fail.)

Van’s staff is amazing! From the owner Brian, Dave, Carol and the other girls were all very professional, polite and knowledgeable.

Their pricing was competitive with the other (2) popular local companies.

I would give them (6) stars and highly recommend Vans who also does all the work on our other location.

Look no further, I did my research- just call Vans.

Great service. Went in to have new keys programmed for my car. They quoted the price over the phone and said they’d check the current battery on my malfunctioning remote. Got there found the battery to be the issue they changed it and tested it then programmed a second remote all while I waited.

How is this transaction $17.02? Can you itemize it, please? I selected a brass key for $5.99, then changed the quantity to 2 keys, which grade school math has taught me brings the running total to $11.98. The kiosk then offered me a free third key. Great! I said yes. I agreed to the offer and proceeded. The first ke that the kiosk spit out had a Steeler logo on it which I EMPHATICALLY DID NOT CHOOSE because it was $3 additional charge, and I am not a Steeler fan. I do not want said key on my keychain. The second and third keys which spit out were brass like I ordered. 6% Pennsylvania sales tax would bring the charge to just under $13, yet I as charged $17.02. Why? Was I charged some sort of fee for using a debit card? If so, why wasn’t I warned before payment? Also, I thought $5.99 per key was a bit steep, but I understood that I was paying extra for the convenience of not having to drive 20 minutes away to my favorite locally owned hardware store, which would have been substantially less expensive. Bu I still don’t understand why the total cost was $4 higher than expected, and why I am stuck with a Steeler logo key which I do not want. All 3 keys open the lock. That earned you the second star. However, one of the brass keys needs to be fidgeted with to get it to be withdrawn from the lock. Overall this has been an unsatisfactory experience, so much so that I needed to fill out this form in order to feel slightly better. I would not recommend using your key making kiosk.

The key copying process is super easy to use and navigate through. However, the price per key (even the most basic brass one) is outrageous in my opinion. $6 for a basic brass house key is too much when I can go to any hardware store or locksmith and get on for half the price. I do, however, appreciate the Buy 2 get 1 free promo as it was extremely useful and needed for this specific occasion. Lower your prices and I’ll update my review to 5 stars!

They showed up quickly and got the job done. Only gripe is how expensive it is, almost $180 for them to use a little air bladder and metal hook to open my door. Took 10 seconds, I just went on Amazon a bought a kit to keep at the house for 20 bucks.
