The lock on my aging commercial door failed suddenly, meaning customers would not be able to enter AND I couldn’t exit through the front! I called New Castle Lock & Key, left a message and got a call back in a very short time. I described my situation and they responded within a few hours. Even though the old lock was quite outdated, I was provided an excellent replacement that same day, allowing me to be open for business on schedule.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience. I scheduled an appointment for 4 p.m., and the technician never showed up. It’s now significantly late, and I haven’t received any communication or apology. I expected better reliability and professionalism, and I won’t be using their services again.

Machine is slow but the keys work. The price is a little steep. Keys have gone up like 300% in 3 years.

I needed a few motorcycle keys made. I don’t know why I did not call A-1 first. I waisted time and money dealing with Incompetent people at Home Depot, Lowes, and a local hardware store. To ruin my Factory key blank that I had to order a new one for $27. Took it to Joe at A1 and he was able to cut everything and fix the one that I thought was ruined. I will Definitely call him first next time.
He always goes above and Beyond. Thanks Again. Really appriciate all you do.

How is this transaction $17.02? Can you itemize it, please? I selected a brass key for $5.99, then changed the quantity to 2 keys, which grade school math has taught me brings the running total to $11.98. The kiosk then offered me a free third key. Great! I said yes. I agreed to the offer and proceeded. The first ke that the kiosk spit out had a Steeler logo on it which I EMPHATICALLY DID NOT CHOOSE because it was $3 additional charge, and I am not a Steeler fan. I do not want said key on my keychain. The second and third keys which spit out were brass like I ordered. 6% Pennsylvania sales tax would bring the charge to just under $13, yet I as charged $17.02. Why? Was I charged some sort of fee for using a debit card? If so, why wasn’t I warned before payment? Also, I thought $5.99 per key was a bit steep, but I understood that I was paying extra for the convenience of not having to drive 20 minutes away to my favorite locally owned hardware store, which would have been substantially less expensive. Bu I still don’t understand why the total cost was $4 higher than expected, and why I am stuck with a Steeler logo key which I do not want. All 3 keys open the lock. That earned you the second star. However, one of the brass keys needs to be fidgeted with to get it to be withdrawn from the lock. Overall this has been an unsatisfactory experience, so much so that I needed to fill out this form in order to feel slightly better. I would not recommend using your key making kiosk.

Unprofessional showed up in a loud car erased they keys i had for the vehicle then told me I had to buy my own new keys charged me then left had another company come and they had my vehicle started in 5 mins don’t recommend them

I was so surprised how well the machine cut the keys. It was very convenient. I didn’t quite understand how to put the key in to have the machine process it. But let’s say that was me and not the machine because sometimes I do take a moment to understand, but they were done quickly. Payment was done quickly and I got to get a receipt in the email love it will use it again.

The key looks nothing like the original because I added the grind option. So much so that I called the help line on the machine to explain that it wasn’t going to work and asked for a refund. They told me to call back if it didn’t work. Amazingly, the key works better than the original! It slides in and out more easily and doesn’t get stuck in the lock. The grind option for $3 should warn people more clearly when selected that it won’t look the same at all—but now I know.
