I called Gary because I couldn’t open my safe. I didn’t know where the battery compartment was and I wasn’t sure if it was corroded. We had our valuable papers in it. I knew the combination and could hear the click after tapping in the combination on the keyboard but it wouldn’t open. Gary told me he would help me by telling me how to open my safe over the phone. Gary was so patient with telling me it’s most likely the batteries are dead. He asked me to take pictures of the safe and send to him. He looked at the pictures I sent and called me back and said there must be a battery located around the keypad. I couldn’t turn the keypad board as he suggested but after that decided to I take another close up picture of that keypad. On that closeup photo I could see a compartment with a push down tab . After pushing that tab down, I was able to pull out the compartment and find the batteries. I immediately replaced the batteries. Voila!! The safe opened easily with new batteries.
I never needed a costly service call, but I was so happy to get Gary’s assistance over the phone!!

Joe made a new key for our Honda CRV. He is very personable and transparent with pricing. He is significantly less expensive than the dealer and other locksmiths I looked into. He is local to me and this saved a service call fee so for those local to Moon, something to consider. I would definitely recommend Joe’s locksmith services.

Great to just walk into Sams club and see a machine at the front door to get keys made. It was so easy and fast. I needed 3 keys and if you bought two the third one was free. Not overly expensive. The one key had to be mailed to me but it only took a few days to get it. Would definitely use again and highly recommend.

Tom was super nice and quick to respond after we moved into our new house. He didn’t recommend anything beyond what was necessary, the price was fair, and he was in and out in no time at all. I will absolutely give him a call again if I need any more work done. Highly recommended.

I want to share some candid feedback regarding my recent experience with the Flying Locksmiths Pittsburgh branch. I’ve worked with Flying Locksmiths across the country and have always had positive, professional interactions—until now. Unfortunately, this has been the first time I’ve felt compelled to leave a negative review, which is disappointing given my long-standing relationship with your company nationwide.

This situation began with a walkthrough at a commercial client site, after which an estimate was provided—but to an individual who is no longer with our company. I only recently became aware of the estimate and have since made multiple attempts to schedule the work.

Here’s a brief summary of what transpired:

* I first spoke with Matt J, who informed me the estimate had been canceled by Hendrick, presumably the franchise owner, because he was unwilling to return unless the job was guaranteed. After explaining that I had just become aware of the estimate, Matt got approval to proceed and told me Hendrick would contact me to schedule. I never received a follow-up.

* I called again and spoke with Ashley, who confirmed the estimate amount and advised me to email the office to schedule. I sent the email as instructed, but received no response.

* I followed up once more and spoke to Leah, who was unable to locate the estimate or my email—even though I had spoken with Ashley less than two hours prior. She placed me on hold and said that Hendrick would complete the work sometime that week. I explained that, due to our business being a marijuana dispensary, we require scheduled appointments to coordinate with security. Again, I was told Hendrick would reach out. He never did.

* I made one final attempt and spoke with Demetrius, reiterating the situation and my desire to simply get the work scheduled. After placing me on hold to speak with Hendrick, he returned with the same vague commitment: “sometime this week.”

At this point, I’m left with no choice but to move forward with a different vendor. I’ve never encountered a situation where I’ve had to repeatedly follow up and effectively convince a service provider to accept a job—let alone one that was already quoted. I’m disappointed not in the brand as a whole, but in the way this local branch has handled the process.

While I will continue to work with Flying Locksmiths in other regions, I will not be using or recommending the Pittsburgh location moving forward. I cannot speak to the quality of their work because, unfortunately, I was never given the opportunity to experience it.

The key making process was very simple although there seemed to be a delay between payment and the initiation of the cutting of the new key. Once it started it was quite loud but the key works fine.

I liked the key kiosk it was very convenient. All my keys worked. It was a quick process and after buying 2 keys the 3rd was free. So I got a total of 6 keys bought 4, two were free! I only wish all the designs were available because my little boy wanted jack skeleton and it wasn’t available on one of the keys. Other than the design suggestion I will return!

The help yourself machine was easy to operate. If you want multiple keys it was best to order 3, getting the third free when you buy 2. The price was less per key when you buy 3, but more than Lowes if you buy a lesser quantity. It took about 5 minutes to cut 3 keys and they all worked on the lock when I tried them out.
