I called Gary and somehow he was able to find time to see me the same day, even though my issue wasn’t actually an emergency. Gary knew what the issue was within a few seconds of looking at the door. Not only that, he’s the only other person I’ve met who was familiar with the brand of lock I purchased. It was evident from the moment he rang our bell that Gary had extensive experience and knew exactly how to help me. His truck was fully stocked with everything needed to complete the job quickly and efficiently.

I told Gary before he left that I now have a trusted locksmith. It was a review like this that connected us. I’m very thankful for that and the job he did for me.

Joe was great. I lost my car key fob called this morning got a quote fixed on the price and fit me on his schedule the same day and finished the job within 10 minutes. Very efficient service and polite. Very happy and pleased customer.

I lost my key and thought I’d have to replace the whole lock, but these guys really came through. Super friendly, very professional, and the price was way lower than I expected. You can tell they genuinely care about helping people. Definitely recommend them if you need a key made or any lock work done!

Joe is a pretty awesome, genuine guy. Could not be more pleased with the overall experience and service/expertise. We were locked out on New Year’s Eve, Joe was able to meet us within 30 minutes and took all of 45 seconds to unlock the door. Extremely talented and professional. Could have overcharged us but did not. Other companies wanted to charge a king’s ransom and were unreliable and/or scams. Will never use another locksmith company!

Friendly and courteous staff. Experienced locksmiths that know their business. Efficient and professional. Quick install for my storm door. Needed new lock mechanism including door handles, keys, etc. I ordered the hardware from Pella since it was a Pella door. I highly recommend North Hills Lock and Safe.

I would give them ZERO stars if I could. Their website talks all about doing residential locks. Apparently they don’t and haven’t for about 10 years. 10 years is enough time to fix your web site!!

I went to get my keys copied. They were extremely prompt at their services and owner is the sweetest person ever! One of keys had an issue but he offered helpful solutions right away. Very kind people and wonderful at their jobs!

I want to share some candid feedback regarding my recent experience with the Flying Locksmiths Pittsburgh branch. I’ve worked with Flying Locksmiths across the country and have always had positive, professional interactions—until now. Unfortunately, this has been the first time I’ve felt compelled to leave a negative review, which is disappointing given my long-standing relationship with your company nationwide.

This situation began with a walkthrough at a commercial client site, after which an estimate was provided—but to an individual who is no longer with our company. I only recently became aware of the estimate and have since made multiple attempts to schedule the work.

Here’s a brief summary of what transpired:

* I first spoke with Matt J, who informed me the estimate had been canceled by Hendrick, presumably the franchise owner, because he was unwilling to return unless the job was guaranteed. After explaining that I had just become aware of the estimate, Matt got approval to proceed and told me Hendrick would contact me to schedule. I never received a follow-up.

* I called again and spoke with Ashley, who confirmed the estimate amount and advised me to email the office to schedule. I sent the email as instructed, but received no response.

* I followed up once more and spoke to Leah, who was unable to locate the estimate or my email—even though I had spoken with Ashley less than two hours prior. She placed me on hold and said that Hendrick would complete the work sometime that week. I explained that, due to our business being a marijuana dispensary, we require scheduled appointments to coordinate with security. Again, I was told Hendrick would reach out. He never did.

* I made one final attempt and spoke with Demetrius, reiterating the situation and my desire to simply get the work scheduled. After placing me on hold to speak with Hendrick, he returned with the same vague commitment: “sometime this week.”

At this point, I’m left with no choice but to move forward with a different vendor. I’ve never encountered a situation where I’ve had to repeatedly follow up and effectively convince a service provider to accept a job—let alone one that was already quoted. I’m disappointed not in the brand as a whole, but in the way this local branch has handled the process.

While I will continue to work with Flying Locksmiths in other regions, I will not be using or recommending the Pittsburgh location moving forward. I cannot speak to the quality of their work because, unfortunately, I was never given the opportunity to experience it.
