Just moved into my new place and stopped by J&L Pacific Locksmith to rekey all my locks to match my new Wi-Fi front door lock. Jeremiah was awesome—super friendly and explained the different lock brands and how to make everything work together. He rekeyed five locks to match my Smart Lock, and everything works great. Brandon was super quick and efficient! Our daughter locked us out of our bedroom door and he was able to come and help us within no time. He was super friendly and respectful. He also was very accommodating for our specific issue. We will definitely use his service if we have problems in the future and will refer him to friends who are in need of a locksmith as well. Tim and his wife are two of the kindest business owners in Salem with out a doubt. Advice never comes with a price. Down to earth people. Very humble. In their outgoing telephone message, they explain how they operate. Their main focus is on the people in their shop needing key work. They don’t answer the phone and encourage you to come into the shop if you need things done. It is an old fashoned way to do business and I admire them for it. You can’t get things done in this small business with very limited help if you are on the phone all day. If you leave a message, you might not get a call back but if you go into their shop, you will get first come first served total devotion to your issue for a very reasonable price, lowest in town for sure! Please tip them! They are rare in this day and age of self centered entitled rude customers! Take Tim’s answering machine advice. Stop in the shop. If they aren’t there, know they are buried up to their necks helping people! The people that can’t afford the prices at lock smiths that hire someone to answer the phone all day. When you leave the shop, I guarantee you will be very happy with the money you save showing your patience and forgiveness to two very kind people!!!!!

Never going anywhere else! David got me the keys I needed quickly without the numerous return trips and redo’s the other locksmiths take. No price gouging going on, either. They charged me $5 for a key that J&L quoted me $50 for. Highly recommend!

Pretty disappointed after looking at the reviews and not getting the same quality of service most of the reviews reported. Had a bad experience with Swanson, so we called Albany lock & key to come out and fix an issue with the lock & knob for our business. They came out the same day to replaced our hardware and key it to our keys. Within a week we realized that we could not lock the knob lock from the outside, which wasn’t terrible since we also have the padlock. I called to tell them and they didn’t seem too concerned. At that time I also noticed that the “new” hardware had a crack in the shaft behind the outer knob and appeared used, we had expected that he installed new hardware prior to noticing that. Then a couple days later the door started sticking closed and wouldn’t open at all to allow customers in and out, so we called them back to fix it. They came out and got the door loose and said the issue was resolved. Within a week the door was sticking closed again, so we tried to call them back but they didn’t answer and didn’t return the call after leaving a voicemail. We ended up having to call a different maintenance person to get the door open again twice since we last tried to call and have been told that the hardware is worn out and will continue to stick. Leading us to believe it was in fact used hardware. I really hoped we’d have better luck with Albany lock and key based on other reviews but ended up disappointed. It doesn’t seem unreasonable to expect follow up on issues that may arise from services that your company provided.

This place is outstanding. I came in with old and unusual tool box keys to have duplicated. The gentleman behind the counter was unbelievably patient and found the correct key blanks. The new keys worked great and the price was very reasonable. I highly recommend Swanson and Sons for all your locksmith needs.

Called around a couple different places needed to have the key reprogrammed and the original immobilizer module, technician not only came out once but twice until issue was resolved. Great communication and kept us informed on at every step, very fair pricing I didn’t even have to pay for the first look only on completion! I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking and will use them in the future

Locked keys in car with it running. Called AAA. They sent Fox out to help. Technician they sent (Brady, i believe) was very professional, nice and super fast. Unlocked my car in less than 30 seconds.
