I got scammed by these guys last night. They charged me over $400 to unlock my car for me. They took more than double the time they quoted to get to my car and then told me the exorbitant price. It was late and cold so they knew I was desperate. It took them less than 10 minutes. Highly highly discourage using them.

My key fob was broken, which caused me to lose my key. I called this shop to explain my issue. Instead of trying to get extra money from me, they offered me cheaper options and explained how I could find my key code. When I arrived at their shop, I was greeted nicely and received good service. The price was very reasonable. Overall good experience would come back again in the future.

Update (One Month Later):

I originally left a five star review because the service during the initial visit was excellent. Unfortunately, the key that was created for my car stopped working about two weeks later. It no longer locks or unlocks my doors automatically.

I reached out to the company several times and was told the technician would call me back. After multiple attempts, I finally connected with him and was told it would be a $95 charge to reset a key that had just been created. I requested to speak with a manager because I did not feel I should be charged again so soon for an issue with the same key.

It has now been over a month with no return call and no resolution, even though I spent over $500 total in services within this same time period. The original issue with my key remains unresolved.

I’m updating my review so future customers have a full picture of my experience. I’m still open to a resolution if the company reaches out.

Oscar at Master Key Locksmith is the best locksmith I’ve ever worked with. My car’s ignition locked up, and I accidentally broke the key inside. Instead of paying for a tow, Oscar came directly to me, which was so convenient. He made a new car key on the spot and explained what was going on with the ignition and steering lock.

We heard about this online, and had to come check it out and I’m so glad we did. Great atmosphere, and super friendly staff. Small venue, but that’s part of the charm. Love the decor, lots to look at, and it gives the place a fantastic vibe. Drink selection is a little bit limited, but good options including non-alcoholic.
We even got to meet the owner, go check it out for yourself!

Never going anywhere else! David got me the keys I needed quickly without the numerous return trips and redo’s the other locksmiths take. No price gouging going on, either. They charged me $5 for a key that J&L quoted me $50 for. Highly recommend!
