I bent the key to my vehicle’s rooftop carrier real bad. I showed up to this locksmith shop without an appointment. I was helped right away. They made two copies of this key for under $9. The quote I received for my car key was pretty high

Quoted me at $350.00 to slim jim a door and replace a battery in the FOB. When i asked why the price was so high (prices start at $35.00) they said that because its a bmw, the key has got a special security system, so it costs $350. Firstly i explicitly stated in the initial call that i only wanted them to open the door, nothing else. None of that crap about the bmw key is true. this is my 3rd bmw, and it is super simple to connect the fob to the car. press the middle button 3 times, turn key in ignition. thats the $350.00 super security bypass that they blatantly lied about. if you dont know about cars, they will make stuff up and try to scam you. DO NOT RECOMMEND
