I had a key made for my daughter a little over a month ago and she didn’t try the new key until the other day and it wouldn’t open the lock so I had to bring my key the original one and use that , I asked her why she didn’t try the key right away and her reply why we never had a problem before well we learned our lesson when I looked at both keys the new I had made was a little off at the bottom so now I feel like I lost 11$ using that machine and I don’t want to do that again , I normally go to a lock smith to have my extra keys made but I was shopping at Fred Meyers and I saw the key machine so I said why not use this save myself a trip to another store to have my key made , well I learned my lesson . Now I have a key that doesn’t work and I have to go make another one unfortunately I did learn my lesson not to do that again unfortunately I’m just going to take it as a loss and go somewhere else

Had the ignition pins and key in my old CRV wear out leaving me unable to drive my car. The folks at bend lock and safe told me if I could get the car towed there they could fix it. I was out the door with a working ignition and three new sets of keys within the same day. Great work, wonderful people and fair prices!

Just moved into my new place and stopped by J&L Pacific Locksmith to rekey all my locks to match my new Wi-Fi front door lock. Shawn was awesome getting my keys out of my locked car. It was a Friday evening, after 5pm, 95°. He came over within 15 min (it’s a small town). It was a tough job, I have tinted windows and a couple with sun reflectors on one side and windshield. Using a variety of tools, he didn’t give up and between he and son, they were able to get the keys. Nice guy 😊!!

Fast response (came out within an hour or so of calling), arrived on time and got a key copied and functional in less than 30 min. Professional service and new key works great. Very satisfied with service.

Update: while they did come out quickly, 5 min after they left I did a check of both keys that was more than just quickly start and turn off the car. Check transmission light was now on. They said not a result of their work, but I took to the mechanic (pro auto in sccappoose) and transmission control module programming error code came up that is a known issue with incorrectly programmed keys. Asked to resolve with and have had no meaningful response or resolution. Dissapppointing.

Tim and his wife are two of the kindest business owners in Salem with out a doubt. Advice never comes with a price. Down to earth people. Very humble. In their outgoing telephone message, they explain how they operate. Their main focus is on the people in their shop needing key work. They don’t answer the phone and encourage you to come into the shop if you need things done. It is an old fashoned way to do business and I admire them for it. You can’t get things done in this small business with very limited help if you are on the phone all day. If you leave a message, you might not get a call back but if you go into their shop, you will get first come first served total devotion to your issue for a very reasonable price, lowest in town for sure! Please tip them! They are rare in this day and age of self centered entitled rude customers! Take Tim’s answering machine advice. Stop in the shop. If they aren’t there, know they are buried up to their necks helping people! The people that can’t afford the prices at lock smiths that hire someone to answer the phone all day. When you leave the shop, I guarantee you will be very happy with the money you save showing your patience and forgiveness to two very kind people!!!!!

Very easy and convenient. The kiosk is located in Lowe’s. You can save the actual key information for future use if needed.
Prices are a little high (for key cutting) ranging 4-6$ per key, but it is easy and convenient!
