They are great. After an unfortunate unexpected cancellation with another company, Samuel helped me scheduled with one of his technicians Daniel to get my ignition and door lock replaced and rematched to my current key all in the same day. Even though I was having a bad day, they made it better and they were extremely helpful and went above and beyond to assist me! Definitely recommend them!

I was replacing my Subarus key battery when I accidentally lost the tiny RFID security piece. When I couldn’t find it I called Ilan to ask if he could help. He showed up within 2 hours and got to work. After a short time figuring it out, he was able to reprogram my key and even cut me a new backup so this won’t happen again. I would recommend to anyone needing his help and won’t hesitate to work with him again.

I had an excellent experience with Omar and highly recommend his services. He responded promptly on a Sunday evening after my newly installed smart lock (from Amazon) malfunctioned when the internal batteries became dislodged, causing the electronic mechanism to lock.

After a brief phone call, Omar arrived at my home within 35–40 minutes, which was greatly appreciated given that other locksmiths I contacted were unavailable over the weekend. He was professional, patient, and efficient, quickly diagnosing and resolving the issue. He also took the extra step of ensuring the lock was properly secured and functioning correctly to help prevent future malfunctions.

Don is probably one of the nicest people on the planet and one of the last extremely talented locksmiths. we were tired of using 3 different keys for 3 different locks at our house – Don took 15 minutes and reprogrammed all of our locks to use one single key (no need to replace our locks – just make them accept the same key). Great price, great service, extremely nice interaction. Oregon City still has many of these small shops with cool old school owners – I’m going to support them as much as I can. Thank you!

I went in thinking I needed my car door lock cylinder re-keyed. Got a call back about an hour later saying they cleaned it out and it didn’t need to be re-keyed. They saved me some money and were able to get me my cylinder Loch back in a timely manner.

Pretty disappointed after looking at the reviews and not getting the same quality of service most of the reviews reported. Had a bad experience with Swanson, so we called Albany lock & key to come out and fix an issue with the lock & knob for our business. They came out the same day to replaced our hardware and key it to our keys. Within a week we realized that we could not lock the knob lock from the outside, which wasn’t terrible since we also have the padlock. I called to tell them and they didn’t seem too concerned. At that time I also noticed that the “new” hardware had a crack in the shaft behind the outer knob and appeared used, we had expected that he installed new hardware prior to noticing that. Then a couple days later the door started sticking closed and wouldn’t open at all to allow customers in and out, so we called them back to fix it. They came out and got the door loose and said the issue was resolved. Within a week the door was sticking closed again, so we tried to call them back but they didn’t answer and didn’t return the call after leaving a voicemail. We ended up having to call a different maintenance person to get the door open again twice since we last tried to call and have been told that the hardware is worn out and will continue to stick. Leading us to believe it was in fact used hardware. I really hoped we’d have better luck with Albany lock and key based on other reviews but ended up disappointed. It doesn’t seem unreasonable to expect follow up on issues that may arise from services that your company provided.

My key fob was broken, which caused me to lose my key. I called this shop to explain my issue. Instead of trying to get extra money from me, they offered me cheaper options and explained how I could find my key code. When I arrived at their shop, I was greeted nicely and received good service. The price was very reasonable. Overall good experience would come back again in the future.

Tim and his wife are two of the kindest business owners in Salem with out a doubt. Advice never comes with a price. Down to earth people. Very humble. In their outgoing telephone message, they explain how they operate. Their main focus is on the people in their shop needing key work. They don’t answer the phone and encourage you to come into the shop if you need things done. It is an old fashoned way to do business and I admire them for it. You can’t get things done in this small business with very limited help if you are on the phone all day. If you leave a message, you might not get a call back but if you go into their shop, you will get first come first served total devotion to your issue for a very reasonable price, lowest in town for sure! Please tip them! They are rare in this day and age of self centered entitled rude customers! Take Tim’s answering machine advice. Stop in the shop. If they aren’t there, know they are buried up to their necks helping people! The people that can’t afford the prices at lock smiths that hire someone to answer the phone all day. When you leave the shop, I guarantee you will be very happy with the money you save showing your patience and forgiveness to two very kind people!!!!!
