Pretty disappointed after looking at the reviews and not getting the same quality of service most of the reviews reported. Had a bad experience with Swanson, so we called Albany lock & key to come out and fix an issue with the lock & knob for our business. They came out the same day to replaced our hardware and key it to our keys. Within a week we realized that we could not lock the knob lock from the outside, which wasn’t terrible since we also have the padlock. I called to tell them and they didn’t seem too concerned. At that time I also noticed that the “new” hardware had a crack in the shaft behind the outer knob and appeared used, we had expected that he installed new hardware prior to noticing that. Then a couple days later the door started sticking closed and wouldn’t open at all to allow customers in and out, so we called them back to fix it. They came out and got the door loose and said the issue was resolved. Within a week the door was sticking closed again, so we tried to call them back but they didn’t answer and didn’t return the call after leaving a voicemail. We ended up having to call a different maintenance person to get the door open again twice since we last tried to call and have been told that the hardware is worn out and will continue to stick. Leading us to believe it was in fact used hardware. I really hoped we’d have better luck with Albany lock and key based on other reviews but ended up disappointed. It doesn’t seem unreasonable to expect follow up on issues that may arise from services that your company provided.

This place is outstanding. I came in with old and unusual tool box keys to have duplicated. The gentleman behind the counter was unbelievably patient and found the correct key blanks. The new keys worked great and the price was very reasonable. I highly recommend Swanson and Sons for all your locksmith needs.

I had 3 keys copied. Only 2 of the 3 keys made worked. I do not know how to return the key that doesn’t work since the keys were made in a machine. Also charging extra to make the keys smooth is a rip off. It is the expectation when the keys are made.

The key worked well, except that like most new key it can get stuck in the lock and occasional will not turn. More of a instance of 1 in 10 times. Never had a new key that behaved differently. Besides that I would have like to to be able to buy the remote version of the key.

The machine brutalized my key during cutting & it isn’t cute at all. there’s white marks on it and the edges are weird looking too. I’ve used MinuteKey machines before and they came out so much better not ruining the design at all.

This kiosk was located insidea Winco Store. I think the new key works better than the original. It was easy to follow the instructions, within minutes I had an extra key. This is a good idea and the product is excellent. Try it.

Called around a couple different places needed to have the key reprogrammed and the original immobilizer module, technician not only came out once but twice until issue was resolved. Great communication and kept us informed on at every step, very fair pricing I didn’t even have to pay for the first look only on completion! I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking and will use them in the future

I hired this guy to open my car. He damaged trim on my B pillar and said he’d fix it. I contacted him after hearing nothing for a couple weeks, he gave some excuse that he knew someone that could tell him how to fix it. Well, it’s now months later and not a word. Highly unprofessional and I’ll never recommend him for anything.
