After attempting scams on me. First one came out after being told on phone. Cannot give quote on phone because have to see what’s required. Man shows up in car he had key in his hand said would work. I asked how much 645 theft attempting I had called dealership said 139 cheap but had to have vehicle there. I have no key. Every call had scam warning. Tried several more times all same voice answered. Top Google search. Why they are not professional at all or honest. So last attempt asked for qoute 150 to 180. I said pay the 180 be fair. Shows up in car said 325. Told him to leave. Then I contacted this company more than what I want to pay but Honest and glad I found him. These people need investigation from honest FED but none exist.

Mike was exceptional from start to finish. From the very first call, he gave a clear and honest quote with no beating around the bush. What he quoted is exactly what it cost. I truly appreciated and loved that transparency, especially knowing my uncle is a retired veteran living on a very limited income.

My uncle is 88 years old, and losing his only car key was incredibly stressful, especially with important health appointments scheduled for Monday. I live in Texas, so I was extremely anxious about him being stranded and unable to get help quickly. Mike accommodated him on a Saturday right after Christmas on the 27th and handled everything promptly, professionally, & with genuine care.

Mike was patient, respectful, & took the time to explain what he was doing. He made two full working keys, one primary and one spare, & made sure everything worked perfectly before leaving.

Knowing my uncle was taken care of, safe, & not left stranded meant everything to me. The clarity, professionalism, & compassion Mike showed went far beyond expectations. I am incredibly grateful & highly recommend Vandalia Locksmith!

Driver / Owner of the company cut me off on the highway, and gave me the finger when I honked. He almost caused an accident and has the audacity to curse at me when I call to complain. If this is the level of professionalism he carries with him at work, I would avoid any service from this guy.

If I could give zero stars, I would. We called in for an emergency service. My friend was house sitting while we were on vacation and accidentally locked herself out. This was during the artic blast with temperatures dipping into the negatives. We wanted to get her back in as quickly as possible so she wouldn’t freeze, but this company quoted us $1,000 to unlock the backdoor. I understand it was an emergency late night service, but for that amount we could have just had her break a window to get in immediately and had the window replaced for less. Absolutely unrealistic and unreasonable pricing.

In addition, my friend attempted calling other “lock smiths” in our area and she was routed back to the same attendant at this company that gave the initial quote. He then berated her on the phone and told her that if she “doesn’t want to pay she can freeze.”

I am beyond words disgusted by this abhorrent behavior. Avoid this company at all costs!

Also, after a few more calls we were able to find a locksmith that came out within 20 minutes and got the door unlocked for $175. They were fantastic and understood the urgency of the situation.
