Needed to have our side door unlocked on short notice while my family and I were out of town. While they were available on short notice and the service that was provided was adequate, I felt like we were taken advantage of because we needed help in a pinch. We could have replaced the door for cheaper. The professionalism of the locksmith was subpar- he badgered me with multiple phone calls while I was trying to pay him. He called me 10 times over the course of 20 minutes, 6 of those times over a span of 6 minutes after I had told him I was in the process of trying to figure out how to send the money. On top of that, he tried to get even more money from me by asking if I wanted the locks changed on another door.

If I were only rating the technician’s performance, I’d give them a 4/5. They arrived quickly and were able to get my car unlocked.

However, the issue was with the pricing and how it was handled. There was absolutely no clear conversation beforehand about what this service would cost. I was in a stressful situation, and I feel like that was taken advantage of.

Immediately after unlocking my car, one technician repositioned his vehicle so I couldn’t leave, while the other demanded $340 for the service. That felt extremely coercive and unprofessional, especially given that the price was never clearly disclosed upfront.

To be fair, they did get the job done. But if you’re considering using this service, be very cautious—make sure you get a firm, all-in price before they arrive. The cost I was charged was far above what’s typical for a basic car unlock.

They came out quick, were nice and polite, but left me with poor quality work and having to explain to everyone who comes over why my deadbolt looks “off”. He cracked my door jamb and door surface during install. Guess I expected quality for someone who has been doing it that long. So disappointing. * I was refunded all of money after calling in my concerns.
