Recently the lock on our spare bedroom door got turned enough that it locked when I shut it. We were basically locked out of the room. I messaged Tejas Lock and Key to set up a time when they could come and unlock it. They asked me to send a photo of the lock, then they messaged me back with directions to unlock it to try. What they told me worked! Many businesses would not have done that and instead came to our house and charged us to unlock it. Five stars for their integrity and honesty!

I thought this would be an easy way to make copies of keys. Not quite. First of all it was all I could do to insert the key I wanted to make a copy of. It took several tries. When I finally got it in, the kiosk asked to make sure key was inserted all of way. Maybe if I had a hammer it would’ve been. I thought it was because the key wouldn’t go in any further. I purchased 3 keys. When the first key came out I knew something was wrong. It wasnt even cut close to the original key. So the other 2 keys weren’t cut correctly either. I requested a refund through the link sent via text and received a text saying my refund had been issued. I’ll wait and see if that happens. This was such a disappointment. I used the kiosk at Acme in Jefferson. I’ll just go to Lowe’s next time and save myself the aggravation.

September 2025. I have a very old lock on the strom door and couldn’t find a key of it. I look around on the web to see someone can make a key of this lock and found this business. I first read the reviews of this business and all of them were very impressive. I called the number and Chris picked up and asked me for the pictures of the 🔐. He even text me his number so I can provide pictures. One thing he mentioned that what if they can’t make a key of the lock then no need to drive all the way rather send pictures. This is call customer service on point. I went to this business with lock and I was received very well. The next day my lock and keys were ready to pick up. Price was reasonable. I would definitely recommend this business if you are in need of locksmith.

Would really say it deserves a 4.5 star rating not 4 only because the price is a little high (one plain key is $9.99). Although others have experienced issues with their keys not working, I did not. The machine was easy to use and I love that the option to store your key information was available. Would definitely recommend in a pinch if necessary.
