Hunterdon Lock will help show you why it is better in the long run to install a quality lock and hardware once and be done, where as the “Big Box Stores and Web Stores” seem to specialize in products which are destined for the landfill after a very short service life and entice the uninformed with low initial price.

Made 3 copies at one local kiosk and they were as expected, no issues. Made a second set of spares at a different kiosk (but same key), and none of the 3 new keys work. They go in the lock and look similar to the original, but 0 of the 3 are cut correctly. Use at your own risk.

I enjoyed the convenience of the Minute Key Kiosk at my local Lowes. Over 2 different trips, I had several duplicate keys made.
Problem: the keys don’t work. Maybe due to poor cut quality. ?? I even paid $1 extra for the Ultra Lite key which broke inside my door handle. I now need to replace the entire lock (handle and deadbolt) assembly.
I think I’d prefer using a trusty human being to make keys in the future.

One of the copied keys did not make an accurate copy. I made 4 copies of one key. None of them works properly. On three of them you have to wiggle the keys a lot to get it to work. The other doesn’t work at all. I’ll be calling the 800 number on the machine to get a refund. All the other keys I had copied work fine
