I had a most pleasant encounter with Cox Locksmith in Knightdale this week I wanted to share. What a lovely family and family business! I first encountered Granddaughter Nashira by phone and we texted a few times about what I needed and price, etc. In just a few minutes, I was on my way to Knightdale to get my two sliding glass door locks re-keyed. (They do come for service calls but I decided to save that and just take them there.)

I dropped them off with the father of the company Mr. Ron Cox. He was so nice and helpful and said he’d have them ready in a few minutes if I wanted to wait, but I decided to run another errand and come back. When I got back his daughter Shani and son Micah were there so I met them and soon after, the granddaughter Nashira I had spoken with earlier arrived so I took a couple of pictures of this three generational family business to share!!

Mr. Cox said he had been in Knightdale since 1990 and 10 years before that in Raleigh!

I have never seen so many keys in my life as the wall of keys there, but they also have other things like safes and door locks and all sorts of stuff.

I was actually referred to them by someone at Lowes who said they used to re-key locks but not anymore. I’m so grateful for that referral and it was kind of Blip in the hardware department at Lowes to tell me about them. If you ever have any sort of key or key related needs in this area, I cannot recommend enough going to see the Cox family in Knightdale. They are in one of the little strip store sections just down from A’nets Catch!

Thank you so much David! I had lost my only car key and David was ready and willing to help me at his earliest convenience. Communication was great and he was able to make me a new key and had me up and running in no time! Might I add, Thanksgiving was the next day. I stopped by Marshall’s Locksmith in Raleigh after struggling with a stuck smart lock cylinder at home — they fixed it in minutes and wouldn’t even take payment. Super friendly, knowledgeable, and honest team. Hard to find service like this anymore — highly recommend!

Lost my only car key for a 2006 model and was fortunate enough to have Mario as my technician. He was very professional, thorough and knowledgeable. Highly recommended the company based on my experience. One call, 10 minutes later a response call from Mario and we set an appointment after work hours during an extremely cold evening. Not every 5 star review is a success story in great product. This review is for great customer service. I had a key made at one of the kiosks in a Lowe’s store. The key did not work. It could have been that the machine was not working correctly. It definitely could have been operator error. Either way, when I reached out to Minute Key, they promptly responded. They gave me a full refund and was very courteous about it. I will continue to use this product.
