Mike was magnificent to work with. I was able to get an appointment relatively quickly, exchanged some photos of my door hardware so that he could more efficiently address the problem in one visit. Work was completed efficiently and professionally.
Here’s the kicker though – he didn’t just fix the tumbler in my door, he actually let me watch and showed me how rekeying works.
The next kicker – I had asked whether he knew anyone local for door repair/replacement for some trouble with our door frame. He showed me a temporary solution to keep it working better til I can get it fixed!! He took time out of his day to help me with this problem purely out of kindness and I could not be more appreciative.

A simple rekeying of a new home (online estimated to be 1 to 2 hours) took close to 6 hours with the locksmith needing to take multiple trips to the store. When installed incorrectly they charged for someone to come out and fix their mistake. Fees are also above average based on searches. This company is a total scam and it would have been more affordable and quicker to try it on our own.

I had a rekey done on my new home. The technician that was sent was amazing. I didn’t catch his name but he was so nice and helped me out and went above and beyond. He did everything surprisingly fast and made everything easy even when it was super cold outside. Very good experience

I bought 3 keys in total, all using the exact same key, in the exact same event, but only one worked properly. It was so odd because all of the edges and marks seem to line up, but the gold key that I bought, worked while the designed keys did not. One was a chiefs, and one was a butterfly. So sad

Super easy interface at the kiosk even if you’ve never cut keys before. All 4 of the ordered keys were perfect. Smooth no real burring right out of the machine. I also had 2 shipped to home and the order was received within a week of cutting the others at the location.
All keys work perfectly in their locks.

I believe someone got in my apartment somehow and made duplicates of my back door key. I don’t like how it’s that easy to duplicate any key they want. My car key has been duplicated as well

Update (One Month Later):

I originally left a five star review because the service during the initial visit was excellent. Unfortunately, the key that was created for my car stopped working about two weeks later. It no longer locks or unlocks my doors automatically.

I reached out to the company several times and was told the technician would call me back. After multiple attempts, I finally connected with him and was told it would be a $95 charge to reset a key that had just been created. I requested to speak with a manager because I did not feel I should be charged again so soon for an issue with the same key.

It has now been over a month with no return call and no resolution, even though I spent over $500 total in services within this same time period. The original issue with my key remains unresolved.

I’m updating my review so future customers have a full picture of my experience. I’m still open to a resolution if the company reaches out.

Oscar at Master Key Locksmith is the best locksmith I’ve ever worked with. My car’s ignition locked up, and I accidentally broke the key inside. Instead of paying for a tow, Oscar came directly to me, which was so convenient. He made a new car key on the spot and explained what was going on with the ignition and steering lock.

A few days later, when the issue happened again, I called him back. Oscar came right away, replaced the steering ignition parts, and made sure everything was working perfectly. The car has been running great ever since. He was professional, honest, and knowledgeable—clearly an expert at what he does.

Key made appeared to be identical to the original. However, it would not turn the lock. Upon further detailed inspection, the 2 highest points on the template key are slightly higher than the duplicate made in the machine. Off by a millimeter must make a difference. KeyMe refunded me without delay, so I gave them 3-stars.

Serious company. The technician Russ is great. Pricey but quality work. And good service and they stand by their work. There was a glitch with a lock repair and they came out and fixed everything to perfection. No additional charge. Good company that we’ve used over the past several years. Good people.
