I lost a fob a couple of days before we were scheduled to leave on a cross country trip. The next day I took an extra fob that had been programmed for a different car, but the same brand, to a key and lock company who could program fobs.
They told me you couldn’t re-program a fob to a different car once it was used and they didn’t have a new fob I needed. But they were nice enough to recommend 417 Car Keys. To my delight, 417 Car Keys was able to re-program my extra fob, saving me money and got it done before we had to leave.

We are a company that reached out to this business to assist us with opening a safe for a customer of ours in the area. The gentleman that answered the phone was rather abrupt and rude, but I initially wrote that off as him being busy that day. I explained everything that needed to be done for our customer, explained what had already been done, and explained who was in charge of payment, including our “not to exceed” price, where to send the invoice for payment, etc. I sent in a work order, and the man started emailing me asking for things that had either already been sent, or that any locksmith who knows about safes (like he claims to) should know, also asking me if he needed to repair the safe after drilling it. I was not able to reply to his email immediately, so he called me and began berating me, and told me he would get to this customer “when he had time.” I attempted to answer his questions but he kept interrupting me, yelling at me and demanding I answer his questions. I calmly told him that I was trying to answer them if he would let me. He began yelling at me again and we ultimately decided that we do not need his services (if he was treating us this way, how was he going to treat our customers?!), so we told him we would be contacting someone else to help us and our customer.

I found a new locksmith that went over within an hour or two and fixed everything for the customer amazingly. The customer called me back and told me how happy they were with the locksmith that actually came out to help them, then mentioned that they had been called by a different locksmith (Five Star Lock & Safe) not to schedule a time for him to help them, but instead to be yelled at about us, to have insults directed at us thrown at the customer, etc. The customer made a point of calling me to tell me this, and to tell me that she thinks we should never work with him. The gentleman at Five Star didn’t call our customer to schedule her service, but instead called her to insult our company. Extremely unprofessional, extremely rude, and no idea how to communicate with people whether they be another business or a customer. We will certainly never be using this locksmith again – he has been blacklisted in our system.

I bought 3 keys, very skeptical. Kept my receit just in case. Got home, tried all 3 keys and they worked PERFECTLY!! Love it. If I need a key again, I will go back to the key maker at wal mart!
