Update (One Month Later):

I originally left a five star review because the service during the initial visit was excellent. Unfortunately, the key that was created for my car stopped working about two weeks later. It no longer locks or unlocks my doors automatically.

I reached out to the company several times and was told the technician would call me back. After multiple attempts, I finally connected with him and was told it would be a $95 charge to reset a key that had just been created. I requested to speak with a manager because I did not feel I should be charged again so soon for an issue with the same key.

It has now been over a month with no return call and no resolution, even though I spent over $500 total in services within this same time period. The original issue with my key remains unresolved.

I’m updating my review so future customers have a full picture of my experience. I’m still open to a resolution if the company reaches out.

Oscar at Master Key Locksmith is the best locksmith I’ve ever worked with. My car’s ignition locked up, and I accidentally broke the key inside. Instead of paying for a tow, Oscar came directly to me, which was so convenient. He made a new car key on the spot and explained what was going on with the ignition and steering lock.

A few days later, when the issue happened again, I called him back. Oscar came right away, replaced the steering ignition parts, and made sure everything was working perfectly. I bought an older home that didn’t come with keys and I couldn’t bring myself to throw out the beautiful detailed hardware. I pulled several of the deadbolts and knobs off, took them to Loyd and he decided them and made me a set of keys for just pennies of what it would have cost replace all the locks and he was quick too! 10/10 recommend him for all locksmith needs!

Locksmith showed up on time, was locked out of my car; technician was able to unlock my door in under 5 mins. Asked how much to replace a few locks to not have so many keys; and he suggested a “rekey” which would be easier to fix my problem. Great price and great service 10/10 would use again.

just wanted to make sure all who will read this review that this company will charge $285 when they quote over the phone $135. then the guy called someone and started laughing about it. never again, sucks this happened when i just moved here. to abuse someone in a helpless situation and take advantage is just horrible. i will never suggest this company for anything. hope they do not get work by word of mouth. i am about to tell the veteran community about their underhandedness. shame on y’all!

A simple rekeying of a new home (online estimated to be 1 to 2 hours) took close to 6 hours with the locksmith needing to take multiple trips to the store. When installed incorrectly they charged for someone to come out and fix their mistake. Fees are also above average based on searches. This company is a total scam and it would have been more affordable and quicker to try it on our own.
