This was an amazing experience, everything from the initial phone call to the service was excellent. They got my Honda back and running after being out in the cold for so long made me a key copy, I even got them to copy some of my house keys and the whole experience was amazing. My technician Philip was phenomenal. Huge shout out.

Do not use this company for retrieving your keys from a locked car if you would like a reasonably priced service – the price was egregious and unjustifiable, I paid $320 for 30 minutes of service total. It is only the cost I have a problem with, they were very prompt, helpful, efficient, and friendly, it was a pleasant experience working with them. Dispatch picked up immediately, I received a call from the technician 3 minutes later, and he was at my location in 15 minutes!

As far as the cost goes, I paid $320 for the whole service, this was $40 for the service call and $280 for the service. The $40 service call fee is almost reasonable, I can understand paying for the consulting time it took for the technician and the locksmith.

As far as the service charge goes, I have many problems with this price. When I asked the lovely technician about what goes into the service price, he stated that factors include type of vehicle, difficulty, if the alarm goes off, and if it is an emergency. As far as difficulty, I have a 2014 Ford Focus and the technician used two AirJacks and a long hook, this took maybe 2 minutes and there was no struggle. This was not an emergency and the alarm did go off, but I’m not sure why that would effect pricing. As far as the technicians qualifications go, this did not seem like an expensive or difficult job.

What I also think would effect pricing would be gas mileage and drive times, which were also not extreme. Whether or not the technician was coming from the dispatch center, which was 3.5 miles away from where I was located, they could not have driven more than 15 miles to reach me, considering that they were at my location within 15 minutes. The car they were driving was a blue minivan, where it would not require more gas than standard vehicle and the amount of gas they would use to get to me would reflect average minivan mpg of 21-30. Say they drove a full 15 minutes to and from me, this would take about $3-5 based on city gas prices.

As for tools, they were using 2 AirJacks that retail online for $50 for 1 pump, which would be $100 for both AirJacks, of which I have found the exact model based on it’s distinct appearance. The technician also used a long green hook to open the door, these retail for about $25-50 based on length. The tools they used on my car cost $150, this is still less money than I spent on the service itself.

With the amount of money I paid for the service call, I could have paid for both the dispatcher and the technicians hourly wage if they each made $40 an hour, that could be reasonable if that is what that charge is for. I was on the phone with dispatch for 3 minutes and the locksmith spent 15 minutes traveling to me and 10 minutes assisting me on-site, so I can see $40 being indicative of both of their time spent assisting at a baseline.

As for the company, I can see no reason why my service charge of $280 would be justified, when gas spent on me would be no more than $5 and I could’ve bought this whole set of tools used on me for them for $150, then I still gave them $125 more for the service itself. I bought that vans oil change and water for the month at the dispatch center, practically, with the money left over.

In the past I have spent $80 and $150 on two seperate car lockout instances, this cost 2-4 times that amount on the same simple sedan.

There is no reason this should be this expensive, do better and do not use this company unless you want to spend half a weeks wages on a single service.

We needed a new car key fob and another one repaired. We had to drive quite a ways. Mr. Moseng helped us out and we now have two fobs! We would highly recommend this company!
