My daughter locked her keys in her running vehicle early in the morning while heading to work and a scheduled guiding trip. She called this company and specifically asked about pricing before they came out. She was told they couldn’t provide an estimate until they arrived.

Once on site, they unlocked the vehicle and charged her $450.

To be clear, this was not a high-end vehicle, a damaged lock, or an unusually complicated situation. It was a standard vehicle lockout. Because she was already late, her vehicle was running, and she needed to get to her clients, she felt she had no realistic choice but to pay the bill.

What upsets me most is not that they charged for a service. People deserve to be paid for their work. What upsets me is the lack of transparency and the apparent willingness to charge an extremely high price to someone in a stressful situation who had very little ability to shop around or say no.

Afterward, we found other reviews describing similar experiences and similar charges, which makes this feel less like an isolated incident and more like a business practice.

A young person in a stressful situation should not feel pressured into paying hundreds of dollars for what appears to be a routine lockout service.

I strongly encourage anyone considering this company to get a clear written quote before authorizing any work. Had we known the price in advance, we would have chosen a different option.

We needed a lock replacement/install on an exterior door for a business. From start to finish, Reliable Locksmith was absolutely wonderful. Rebecca worked so hard to get us the lock we needed overnight so that it could be installed next day; she kept me updated throughout the whole process. Mike and his dad came to do the install next day. Mike was communicative and precise. We had a pretty rough base for him to work with – he was patient, explained exactly what was needed to complete the install, and worked with us to the very end with getting it programmed and showing us how it works.

I would give 10/10 stars if it were possible – would highly recommend and will use them again for future needs.

I had a lot going against me but they made it out to me and got me back inside my vehicle in no time at all. Good guy, had a great conversation with him too. I would go with them again.
