John and his team are very efficient. When we needed a key for our register he came down immediately and got us back up and running. We’d have spent triple the time and money getting a key sent from Square so we’re extra glad to have this local service right downtown Ionia.

World 🌍 class experience at Gilboe’s Lock & Safe LLC. The great experience started off with me reaching via email for a price quote and scheduling for a couple of weeks while I budgeted. I spoke with Angie on multiple occasions and she was beyond amazing each and every time with prompt responses and great next steps, friendliness along the way!

Which leads me to today, enjoyed a nice drive to the location and were a bit earlier than scheduled; which was no problem for them at all and Al kindly had me park our car (carrying my wife and our puppy) in the shaded area; which benefitted him and them; that in itself was a convivence; that anywhere that doesn’t care wouldn’t provide! (We’ve all been there and we know when people don’t care)

Al greeted me inside and was super friendly and welcoming! Had a brief wait, while he quickly cut my new Honda CR-V key and than out we went to program the key FOB! He kindly engaged with our “eager to meet him”, 9 month old puppy; as he worked and within a matter of minutes, he was done! I thanked him for his quick, amazing work and kindness and headed inside to take care of the bill with Angie! The amount of money saved here versus going to the dealership/manufacture is easily 3 fold! Which is another reason I’ve stuck with my “franken-remote” for much longer than I would have liked. (Two winters❄️ already where I would end up locked out of my vehicle going to get groceries 😥, sigh. No more!! I digress)

Overall: A+++ experience at Gilboe’s Lock & Safe LLC! 🎉🥳

This experience was the most, enjoyable experience I have had in a long time and I will make sure to always use Gilboe’s Lock & Safe LLC for any business needing their services. They are the leader in my list of people to recommend!

I needed a battery replaced in my car key fob. In and out in five minutes and a very reasonable cost. The two ladies behind the counter were so friendly and left a smile on my face that lasted the rest of the day.

When I find an amazing place I always love leaving good feedback. I had a key cut and programmed. Pricing is absolutely amazing. Even tested my old fob with a new battery after it’d been through the wash and to my amazement it worked! I just wished I brought my watch out there, didn’t realize they do watch batteries too

I went to Big D’s Lock City to have my car key rekeyed and the fob replaced because some of the buttons weren’t working. The man who helped me was noticeably rude from the start very short-tempered and dismissive. I tried to stay polite and patient, but his attitude didn’t improve.

When he returned my key, the trunk button didn’t work anymore. I mentioned it to him, but he refused to fix it and simply said it “couldn’t be fixed,” without explaining why or offering a solution. I still paid for the service, but left with a key that doesn’t fully work and a pretty negative impression overall.

I don’t know if the rudeness was just his personality or something else, but either way, customers deserve respect and basic professionalism. I wouldn’t recommend this place based on my experience.

They no call/no showed. I waited for 4 hours on a nice summer day with my three little kids at home because they can only give “morning” or “afternoon” times. I called them at 4pm and they said they would have to reschedule. I asked nicely for a more precise time since I already waited a half day for them and they didnt come. They declined to give me a more precise time. I would not recommend. Hoping I can find someone else to help us!
