I bought a used car recently and the key fob was messed up. So I came here hoping to get a new one for my car. The person at the front said that the motherboard in fob worked still and that he would order the shell of my fob and swap them over. He told me he’d call me a let me know. Two weeks later I walk in again because I hadn’t heard anything, and I asked if they had the part. The person at the front (different guy) pulled out their binder and said they never even wrote it down. So I ask if he can order it and he said and wrote it down. I go back two weeks later AGAIN because I still hadn’t heard anything. The guy at the front told me that they hadn’t even order the part, but that they would let me know. So waited a couple of months, and still nothing. So I went online and purchased my own and brought it in to have them swap the motherboard over and if that didn’t work, to program it and cut the key. After 30 minutes it’s of messing with it, they told me that my key fob I brought in wasn’t compatible with the original one. They told me that there was probably 20% chance that it would actually program to my car, and told me they would have to charge $75 to even try. Such a rip off.

Showed up on a Sunday morning right away. I was not expecting such immediate service. Fixed my front door’s broken thumb knob (turning thingy) that was broken. Then tightened up the rest of the handle and handset. Way faster service than I expected. Super polite. Very reasonable price.

John’s Lock and Key were phenomenal! The ignition cylinder locked on my teenager’s 2009 and they were able to help get us moving again. They didn’t immediately try to go for the “expensive” fix but after walking me thru what to try to no luck they worked quickly to find the part and get it going. They were very professional. Communicated well and was very easy to work with. I’ve gone there before the little things and they always were nice. This confirmed if I need any help with locks I know where I am going.

Took forever and the keys don’t work very well have to play with them to get lock to turn , cleaned keys , still not good , no one to help , takes card with no recourse , recommend finding a place where a real person can assist

This place is a great resource for any DIYer, handyman or similar professional! Not 24/7, but Mike’s affordable and he knows what he’s doing.
Locked my only set of keys in the car (warning – you can do this in most cars that are older than 2022ish).
Mike had to pump the door open because the key hole had probably never been used, and couldn’t be jimmied. (I never used it, but I’ve had it for less than a year.)
Lesson: If you have a car that’s more than 5 yrs. old, open it using your key every month or so, and make sure you’ve got a spare set at home!

My Locksmith was Justin. My experience was quick and wholesome. I requested an lockout service over the phone, within 15 – 20 minutes Justin arrived and in 5 minutes or less My vehicle was unlocked!

Why do you need my phone number???? BS! Expensive. Promoted that they do car keys as well,……. But they don’t. The keys that were cut barely worked. They needed cleaning up. Which was an add on $$$. You would think that would be part of the basic service. But NO, EXTRA CHARGE!!!! Really??? Won’t be back.
