$12 for ONE PLAIN BRASS KEY. And they wanted an extra $3 for premium cutting, to remove the rough edges left on the key from their machine cutting it. It warns you that the key could be tough on your lock if you don’t do. I didn’t pay it, and the key came out extremely jagged. I had to use a screwdriver to scrape the metal fillings off of the newly cut key. The level of scam borders on abusive.

Do not use KeyMe. The contractor they sent charged $350 to open a door which took approximately 30 seconds to do with a single tool. My door no longer sits securely in the jam and I will have to repair it. No price was given until I had waited for him to arrive and reach the door, he would not provide a receipt, and being locked out of your house is not a time you can afford to hope another place might be cheaper after you’ve already waited for them to arrive. Predatory pricing for people in distress, avoid at all costs.
