My car keys went missing. They had responded quite quickly, compared to other locksmiths I’d tried, they communicated very well. I had paid 500 dollars for two new keys to my car, which is a lot, but I needed the keys same day, and they delivered. Everyone was very lovely, and knowledgeable, compared to the others I’d tried, and even made the almost hour long drive with sun optimal road conditions.

An elderly neighbor was locked out of her home on a 90 degree day. But approximately 15-20 minutes after my initial call, Ave’s locksmith had already popped the door lock and was making extra keys for her. I had a key made at a competitor machine previous to using yours. None of the keys were functional. I had mine cut at your machine with trepidation but I got home and it works flawlessly.

We were so impressed and grateful to Wayne for his quick response time and his skill level. He came to the house to open a 20 year old safe that wouldn’t open with the code. He came the same day and spent over 2 hours drilling, hammering and using a crowbar to break through the cement and steel. It was a Herculean task that he accomplished all while remaining calm and polite. Despite the fact that the safe was empty, we were so thankful for Wayne’s efforts. It was a dirty and exhausting job.

If I could give zero stars, I would. I am an attorney and was seeking information regarding their process. I suppose asking questions such as “how will I know what the final charge is before you charge my credit card?” or “how much are your services?” or “how does the process work since I won’t be present but an employee will be” is not something the owner, Donald, wants to answer. Instead, he grabbed the phone from his wife, I think, said “You just have to trust us” and then hung up the phone. Giving a random person I have never met my credit card information and simply “trusting” that they will charge whatever they think is appropriate at a time that I am not present, is not something any person should EVER do.

If you want a professional service, this is NOT the place to go. If you want someone to answer simple questions, this is NOT the place to go. It’s a shame because we have substantial work in the surrounding counties and would have liked a reliable locksmith. Someone else will get our business.

I can understand why this company has many positive reviews, and I am glad others had good experiences. Unfortunately, mine was not one of them.

I hired them to install a doorbell. Instead of being upfront that this was not within their expertise, they attempted the project anyway. Throughout the process, they repeatedly asked me if I was sure and insisted their way was the only option. Looking back, it is clear those questions were less about helping me make an informed decision and more about covering themselves so they could later say I gave permission. As a client, I am not the expert, which is why I hired a professional. That approach felt more like intimidation than guidance.

When it became clear the project could not be completed, I was still charged the full price. The response to my concern was dismissive and delivered in an elevated tone of voice. As a young woman alone in that situation, I felt intimidated and taken advantage of. They knew they had not completed the work successfully, yet still required me to pay in full, which is what makes this experience feel so unfair.

Afterward, I learned the wiring issue could have been solved in a very simple way. Instead, I was left with unnecessary damage and had to clean up the entire mess by myself. Having to do that not only made the sting of the experience worse but also felt degrading. On top of that, I now face additional costs to fix what was left behind.

I am glad this company seems to work well for smaller, straightforward projects. However, if your request requires anything more complex, be cautious. Even if the work is not successful, you will still be charged in full. I was hesitant to write this review out of fear of retaliation, but I felt it was important to share my experience in case it helps someone else.

While I see the intent behind your follow-up here on Google, I want it publicly reflected that my actual follow-up experience did not match the tone of this message. The phone call felt aggressive, and my concerns were attributed to accent and cultural differences, which came across as dismissive of my frustrations rather than constructive. First time I used them was a year ago and the spare did not work when it was tested. Tried again recently and the key wasn’t a smooth fit but did turn the lock. I’d recommend testing the new key as soon as possible. Not entirely reliable.
