Dave was great! Called him up today after making settlement on our house to have all the locks re-keyed. He was at the house within 30 minutes! He was fast, kind and very reasonably priced. I will definitely be calling Dave back anytime I need a locksmith.

Found myself locked out of my house on a freezing morning. Within minutes of calling Gene’s, I was on the phone with Matt and had talked through the problem, and he was on his way. Within 15 minutes, he was at the front door and working. Matt’s professionalism and knowledge were amazing. He was able to install a new lock and rekey some old ones. Matt also made himself available to answer my many questions about all of my doors and locks. All of this was completed quickly and at a very reasonable price. I feel more secure knowing I can call them for emergency services or any service. I am happy to support a local family-owned business.

I tried to use the digital key and was unable to get into the system on the phone to use it. Had to go through the same process as the first time by using a real key to copy.

Very unprofessional business place I called the guy and explained that I’ve lost my car keys and he didn’t even let me finish my sentence and hung up the phone on me saying I have no technician in that area.. that is just wrong and disrespectful. You guys need to hire professional people at the front desk or answering calls

Super friendly – they made it so easy to get a new key for my 2013 Honda. I was in and out in less than 15 minutes. It was less than the dealership would have charged and my new key comes with a 6 month warranty! Highly recommend.

I wanted a spare key to keep in my wallet, both as a valet key and in case I lock my keys in the car. The kiosk couldn’t copy my key, so they had to ship it to me; my new key took a few days to arrive, but when it did, it worked perfectly! The only issue I have is that KeyMe doesn’t give the option to order a key without a rubber head; the one I got fits in my wallet, but just barely. Still, even with shipping, the cost was far less than the dealer would have charged!

Dude is an absolute Gem of a human in my opinion. And I don’t see that lightly. It was already amazing that he knew my car was hard to work on. I called several people before him and none of them would even give me the time of day some of them weren’t calling me back and I finally found out it’s because people don’t work on Volkswagens. Is my daughter’s car and she just HAD to have a beetle. I let her borrow my car the other day and she didn’t see that her set of keys was on the roof of my car when she drove off so we lost her keys. So we finally we’re told about Daniel from another company. They told me that he was like the only one that would do VW around here. But yeah so he guaranteed that he would try to fix it and if it didn’t work he wouldn’t even charge me even when I tried to insist at least $20 for gas. He wouldn’t accept. And for me I’m all about being an honorable person and it just really meant a lot to me I had to get on here and give him a five-star review. He’s outside trying to fix it right now. He told me with these cars there’s no guarantee because VW is just very tricky most people won’t work on them anymore I know that firsthand because I called 4 different places before him. Either way I’m grateful for him attempting to try to help us out especially because he’s already had a full day but still me time to come at the end of the day to help me and my family out. Knowing that he might not even earn money. Allied will be the only locksmith we call from now on. Much respect bro!

Normally this kiosk works pretty well, but not this time. I was surprised it offered padlock key cutting at all, but I quickly found that it wasn’t up to the task. It’s not an exotic lock – it’s an off-the-shelf lock that is offered by any place that sells generic brand locks.

Of the three keys cut they were all too thick, teeth were missing and crooked on the shank, and heavy burring was left behind. None of the three keys worked at all. They wouldn’t even fit into the keyway. I’ve requested a refund, but haven’t heard back on it yet.

UPDATE: I received an email the same day from a customer service rep saying they’ve refunded me.

This kiosk works great generally on larger keys and I’ll still use it for that purpose. Some keys still need to be hand cut, and that’s ok. Minute Key made things right. 5 stars for the customer service. 5 stars for keys normally. 1 star for padlock keys. Bringing my review up from a 1 to a 3.

Terrible. Was stranded for 6.5 hours. Kept rescheduling that evening into night hours. Kept giving run around of eta. Eventually canceled and got extra set from home in Baltimore next day. Wouldn’t recommend.
