D’arcy Hyundai lost my car and house keys. This is the locksmith to go to. Scott is such a knowledgeable person. I am glad this Lock Tech was able to assure me that I would have proper security. It’s been a couple nights and I’ve been able to sleep better. D’Arcy Hyundai still cannot find my car keys nor my house keys. D’Arcy Hyundai charged me for a key and fob replacement. I should have called Scott here at Plainfield Lock Techs, because it was cheaper to get 2 keys made AND programmed through him, than it was to get ONE KEY, nonprogrammed through D’Arcy Hyundai. I also had Plainfield Lock Techs rekey my house. I now live in my own fort Knox, thanks to D’Arcy Motors, for the push. As I would never have imagined I would spend $1,400 for a single lost key and programming, of which is not my fault. Will be reaching back next week when I have money to rekey this sentry safe. I accidentally locked myself out of my house during the big snow fall today. I called all around to get a locksmith and everyone else said they couldn’t make it to my house. Sean was willing to come to my house in the bad weather. He was extremely kind and got the door opened quickly. I will definitely use him again if needed or recommend him to anyone I know needing these kinds of services.

We called to inquire about getting a new key fob for my truck and they were very nice and extremely helpful. They were able to have a technician come out within the hour of calling which I was so grateful for. The technician was very nice & let me know what he was going to be doing & had everything done within less than 15 min. He showed me that the new key fob worked with no problems and showed me that my remote start worked also. The key fob did also come with a warranty which was great. I am more than happy with the services they provided & I appreciated how wonderful the staff was. Highly recommend!

Honestly, I think that $11 for a key is way too expensive! I could’ve went to Walmart and got one for $1.98 but I only go to Kroger and I used your kiosk key works so thank you. I appreciate that but I don’t appreciate the price.

I called about a broken sliding patio door lock. They said it would be $160 just for someone to come look at it then another $160 for labor plus the cost of the part which they said could be anywhere from $100-$600.
That felt like a lot so I watched a 5 min YouTube video, ordered the part for less than $10 online and once it came in
I fixed it in under 15 minutes. Insane that they estimated $420+ for something that in actuality cost less than $10 and was completed in under an hour.

They were nice and responsive on the phone though and I’m sure if it had been an emergency lockout then they would have been fine, if not a bit exaggerated on pricing.

They ask if you want a key smoothing service for an upcharge. When you decline it the keys are still sent through that smoothing “service” what this boils down to is regardless of your choice you do not receive exact replicas of the teeth.

Post edit- I added a picture I’m home now and both house key copies will open the deadbolt but neither will lock the deadbolt. Notice the missing small notches and how smoothed out the valley and ridge parts are. Mailbox key does not work at all. The worst thing however, at least in my opinion, is the sloppy chatGPT auto reply from the owner to the reviews. I will be submitting a refund and following up with how that process goes.

They told me they could perform the service. I waited 4 hours and called the technician back to see if they could give me a timeframe of when they could be here but I got no answer. Waited another hour and called a second time but no answer. I ended up calling the main line and they told me they would have the technician give me a call back. The technician never called me back. Finally, 8.5 hours after the initial call to set up the service, I received a call from the main line saying the technician was on their way. By that time, I moved on and scheduled service with another company. Took off a whole day of work to resolve this problem for there to be little communication from this company on when they could come out. Began to think they ghosted me. Communication is keyyyyy.
