The machine was fairly simple to operate. I thought the price was just a little excessive. But overall good experience.

I had two keys made. The first one I had no issue with making. The second one, I inserted, paid with my credit card and the machine began making my key and then stopped and said it couldn’t and the machine was down. I went to a customer care person (at Lowes) and they said it was an independent company and they wouldn’t be able to tell me if I got charged for the second key. I guess I will have to wait and look on my credit card. I had second key made by a Lowes associate.

Had a great experience with Anthony from Bedford Lock and Key two days ago!!! Was having trouble installing a new lock set on the door to the garage. Called him @ 1:45 in the afternoon. Said he could get here by end of the day. Told him that would be great. Surprise! He showed up an hour after my call! In addition to installing the lock set, he tweaked the springs on the door hinges to make the door close better. Finally, when we asked him about an issue we had with the lock on the front door, he handled that also. All in well under an hour. Anthony was professional, courteous and clearly knows his stuff! And, all at a very reasonable price!!! This was our first experience with Anthony and we would not hesitate to call him again and we highly recommend him to anyone.

I hate not giving anyone 5 stars. I love supporting local businesses so when my front door lock needed repair, I called Bedford Lock & Key. The proprietor is not the most polite person I have dealt with but it is more about the service and it was convenient being in the same town. I replaced the knobset and deadbolt for my front door. My bad, I should have asked for a quote first so when I was given the total of $623, I was taken aback. The materials amounted to $332 with labor at $125 and $70 for the lock to be set to my current key. I was not given new keys. I was also charged $75 for him to drive less than 2 miles to my house (service call). I AM IN THE SAME TOWN!

The price is over the top and when I attempted to call back as not all my keys worked, he interrupted me to tell me that the lock would work with the keys he gave me (he gave me none). He wasn’t listening nor was he interested. I called someone else to come address the issue and had them put in a new set for my garage door for half the price and same quality.

Sorry but will not be a returning customer.

This is an update to my review set forth below. Only after I submitted my 1 ⭐ review did my issue get fixed. I did receive a key that works. It shouldn’t take a 1 ⭐ review to get results. I hope they will improve their customer support going forward.

I ordered a key for the battery housing on my bike. The key arrived timely but did not turn in the lock. Support at MrLock did not respond to my requests for help. Buyer be aware. I emailed them three times re this issue.
