Fast service and great prices. “Car Keys Express” out side of Sam’s club, wanted to charge me $50 just to cut a simple vehicle key (No programming). I came to My Local Lock Smit and was charged $10 per key.
They also were able to program and cut a Fiat keyfob with no issues. Something the competition could not do.

Overall very pleased with the service. Will be using them again.

Let me be perfectly clear: you WILL be charged, even if no work is done and even if they are not qualified to do the job.

I contacted Not Your Basic Locksmith for a diesel SKIM issue and explained the situation up front. They still dispatched a technician and collected the mandatory $65 fee, then admitted on site that they could not communicate with the vehicle, did not have the required software, and lacked diesel knowledge. I was then told the job would need to be bench-done—something that should have been identified before taking my money.

The technician was professional and honest. This review is not about him.

The issue is the owner, who the technician called during the visit. During that call, I was told the system was “SKIM deleted.” It was not. Whether that statement was made through ignorance or dishonesty, it was false.

This business model is simple:
They show up, take your money, and only afterward tell you they can’t do the work.

If you own a diesel vehicle or need SKIM / ECU-level service, do not call this company. They are not equipped, not qualified, and you will still be charged for nothing.

0 stars for the owner’s integrity and business practices.
1 star for the technician’s professionalism.

Edgar did a great job on key fob replacements for our cars. Both of our key fobs broke around the same time and he came to save the day. He was pleasant, respectful, priced fairly, and quick to get the job done right. He came after hours to accommodate our work schedules.

Chris and Ken both waa awesome. Customer service A1. I had a quote from another locksmith to have a key fob programmed for my 2008 cadillac dts it was $400. Outrageously high. I called A1 and received a quote for $74. Went into the store and was greatest by both Ken and Chris. They helped me out and I even got an extra key made while I was there for the car. Key and Key fob was not even half the price I was quoted… these guys need a raise they made me feel very welcomed. If you need work done try out the Arlington location I am sure you will see why I gave them 5 stars.. keep up the great work guys

Phenomenal price – actual rating is 4.5 if I could. The only small hesitation was the Smiths demeanor. He was stand-offish and not friendly. Great work for a great price and the smith did go beyond the call of duty to show me how to reprogram the key myself if there was an issue with my aftermarket key.

My safe was locked after losing my key while moving and I needed my birth certificate. He came to my actual house and stayed outside of the door and quickly drilled into my safe. They let me know in advance the safe would need to be replaced but none the less they got the job done. Be for warned though the only down side of this service is they are pricey($300+) and do not clean up any dust particles from drilling.

​I cannot recommend Arlington Lock highly enough, especially after the exceptional experience I had with the manager, Jay. My visit was due to a stressful and unforeseen small accident that left me completely stranded at the front door of their office for the majority of the day.

​Jay immediately recognized my distress and stepped in as a true advocate. After several calls and his personal, dedicated assistance, we were successfully able to get my car started via a jump. His immediate focus was not just on the technical problem, but on my well-being. He was incredibly attentive, concerned, and went far beyond the typical scope of customer service to ensure I was safe and taken care of.

they take your card details, charge you 167 dollars just to open your car door. i canceled my order and was told id be getting a full refund and woke up to an additional 80 dollar charge. called them back to get the charge disputed and canceled and they claimed i was never a customer and that i was calling the wrong number. got transferred to multiple customer experience numbers that are inactive and do not work. was on hold for about 30 minutes then the call dropped saying ‘there was an error with call forwarding’. then they gave me another phone number to call and it said there was no one in office and that i should call again within their work hours. i called multiple times within their work hours and got the same run around. do not use key me locksmiths. 167 dollars to unlock a car door is ridiculous in the first place and their customer service is terrible.
