I absolutely love the feature of being able to save my keys and duplicate them later. I was able to use that feature yesterday but had to go through extra steps because the machine credit card payment was out of order. I was pleasantly surprised that I was still able to make keys, paying with cash. It took longer because I had to leave the store to get cash, but at least I was able to. The reason I took off a star is because the machine has been out of order several times in the past year. (At Lowe’s, who has nothing to do with it)
Our town has another kiosk at Wal-Mart but I couldn’t use it to make my stored house key. I wish they were all as good and as full-service as the one at Lowe’s. I just wish they were serviced more regularly, or at least as quickly as they need to be. It’s frustrating to not be able to count on it when I need it.

It was simple enough to use but when I got it home to try it, the key doesn’t work in my deadbolt lock like the original key I used does. The key was $5.99 but I ended up paying more than $7 only for the key to not work properly.

Made appointment over 2 weeks in advance to have locks rekeyed and get estimate for keyless entry. The appt was made for the afternoon of the day we closed on our new condo, since we were off from work. We received a call at 1:28pm saying that the appt between 1p-3p could not be honored and would have to be rescheduled. After explaining that we would not be available until after 345 on weekdays I was put on hold. When the woman came back to the phone she was annoyed, but said the tech would be here by 3pm. Its now 3:30 no tech no call. We know it doesnt matter to these folks that we will take our business elsewhere, but theyre the ones who need to ne ashamed that they dont have the capacity to know how to provide adequate customer service. So much for wanting to support local businesses!!!
