I needed a locksmith for a new building to install an electric striker system on the front commercial aluminum door to let clients in and a code lock on a rear steel door.

I called (3) local companies. Only Vans was able to perform the installation the most secure way which was to cut into the edge of the door frames to mortice out a space where the deadbolt/latch get inserted which requires a special tool that only Vans had. (If you can’t mortice out the edge of the door frame, the option and less secure method is to drill a hole for the deadbolt/latch to go through.

One company was afraid to do that and the other did not have the experience nor the tool.

Jake from Vans was the technician who was assisted by Scott and they performed an outstanding installation.

Jake recommend and used a Schlage Encode Plus, Smart Wi-Fi Deadbolt Lock with Touchscreen Keypad, Keyless Front Door Entry, Apple Watch Unlock, Built-in App Control, Alexa and Apple HomeKit Compatible, Matte Black for the rear door code lock.

Jake assisted me with connecting to WIFI and teaching me how the app works to change codes and use other features.

Jake keyed both locks the same, (1) key does it all (Code lock has key as back up in case batteries fail.)

Van’s staff is amazing! From the owner Brian, Dave, Carol and the other girls were all very professional, polite and knowledgeable.

Their pricing was competitive with the other (2) popular local companies.

I would give them (6) stars and highly recommend Vans who also does all the work on our other location.

Look no further, I did my research- just call Vans.
