I call and ask if they make copies of a type of key. Bc they don’t she says “no you have to call another company and hangs up” lol I had another question about more keys and she just hangs up in my face.

Scott and the guys at Cheap Keys did a great deal in replacing my Hyundai key fobs this week. The whole team, including Chris, played major roles in helping us. They ordered new fobs for us, were able to get the PIN direct from my car and cut the keys in a jiffy. Scott started working in the business in 1990 for his Dad and Uncle, who worked for Scott’s Grandparents. Cheap Keys serves the South Suburbs with 3 work truck and workshop. Scott and Chris have worked together for 30 years! What a great family story and business! I found their shop organized, supplied and clean. They even have 3 mobile trucks, one of which I have shown here. Scott bent over backwards to accommodate us and he was very kind, professional and quick to serve us. I found it easy to communicate with them by text and phone, which I really appreciated. I love finding small local businesses like Cheap Keys that keep their promises, do great work at great prices and are very pleasant to work with. Scott and his team will be my go to guys in the future. I highly recommend Cheap Keys as your local locksmith!

Hard to find, no signs, but after asking two (2) Customer Service agents, if I could have keys made there, The second one took me. The self service machine worked perfectly.

This place came highly recommended. They came out right away and the technician was great. I would have been a happy customer, had I not review my invoice after I paid it. When I called and asked about appointments/pricing, I was told the service call was $150 or $180. Once reviewing the invoice, the service call was $225. I texted to inquire about the difference. No response from the business for 4 days. I finally had to call and after 3 follow-ups finally spoke with Sue (or Susy) and she listened to my original call and called me back. She stated that they do charge 150 for a service call but the 225 also includes labor, although all services are listed as separate line items. She also stated that the invoice should have been more for the length of time the tech was at my house. I had a lengthy conversation when I set up the appointment AND sent pictures of the locks prior to the appointment. I was very transparent on my end, they clearly were not. If there was a additional charge for labor that should have communicated at the time of the appt was set up. If there should have been an additional fee for a longer appointment, that should have communicated at the time the appointment was set. If labor is a separate charge, they may was to consider listing it as a separate line item on the invoice or at least tell the customer that during the price quoting process. If you like surprise charges, lack of transparency and poor customer service, this is your place!
