I like how convenient it was but was greatly disappointed in the slim selection of keys in the machine. It’s great that you can order cool keys but we don’t always have time to wait and to only have half a dozen designs to choose from is a huge bummer.

Put a house key, the machine claimed I put in a Subaru key. Then once I got it to recognize it was a house key and got the order ready, the card reader wouldn’t work.

I had the pleasure of working with Dougs Lock and Key Service in Marion, Illinois, and I can’t say enough good things about them. I called them on a Monday (a day after a snowstorm) to install two new locks for my home. I was converting the property from an independent residence to a rental and needed the work done by Friday. Not only did they exceed my expectations, but they also made the whole process incredibly smooth and quick.

To my surprise, they showed up just 30 minutes after my call, despite the snowstorm that had dumped over a foot of snow. The technician was not only prompt but also professional and courteous, taking the time to have a pleasant conversation while getting the job done.

I was impressed with how quick and efficiently he worked. He had everything completed and my home ready to go five days ahead of schedule! The service was also reasonably priced.

Honestly, I wish all companies had customer service this good. They truly went above and beyond. I highly recommend them, and they’ve earned every bit of this five-star review!

Usually keys from the Minute Key machine work well for me. However, last time I made keys only 1 of 3 worked in the lock.
