I had the pleasure of working with Dougs Lock and Key Service in Marion, Illinois, and I can’t say enough good things about them. I called them on a Monday (a day after a snowstorm) to install two new locks for my home. I was converting the property from an independent residence to a rental and needed the work done by Friday. Not only did they exceed my expectations, but they also made the whole process incredibly smooth and quick.

To my surprise, they showed up just 30 minutes after my call, despite the snowstorm that had dumped over a foot of snow. The technician was not only prompt but also professional and courteous, taking the time to have a pleasant conversation while getting the job done.

I was impressed with how quick and efficiently he worked. He had everything completed and my home ready to go five days ahead of schedule! The service was also reasonably priced.

Honestly, I wish all companies had customer service this good. They truly went above and beyond. I highly recommend them, and they’ve earned every bit of this five-star review!

Was so incredibly kind and genuine when I was having a stressful day. I truly believe you will not find someone in the area so willing to help. The key will barely unlock my door. It takes me 5 to 10 minutes to open it and close it! It asked me if I wanted to spend more money to make a more precise cut but I figured that’s what it was supposed to do in the first place so I’m not very happy

I called at about 4:30 pm on a Friday after locking my keys in my car while shopping. I was told someone would be there within 15 minutes which turned into an hour. Which isn’t a big deal, I understand things happen. But once they got there, I was given no quote on getting my keys out, but based on experience I assumed I would pay anywhere from $60-150. After they got my keys out which took almost an hour in itself, he turns to me and said “that’ll be $425” . I told him there is no way, I literally could have broken my own window and replaced it for half that price. I paid the fee, and immediately called to report my experience with the company. The lady I spoke with completely agreed that this price was outrageous. I get an email a few days later saying they are refunding me $110.00. Which is great that I got any of it back but still, over $300 for a locksmith service is crazy. I have since called several companies to get quotes because this didn’t sit right with me. I was quoted anywhere from $60-$150 bucks with the $150 being an emergency after hours cost. I would never use this company again and would actually go out of my way to make sure anyone I know doesn’t use them either.
