I stopped to get two keys made. They made perfect copies. They were quick and inexpensive. It cost me a little over 3 dollars.
( I previously had made 3 keys in a Walmart key machine. The cost was $15. The keys were poor copies and missing two of the keys main peaks. They were junk. )
I recommend Jeff’s Key Shop. However, it was a very nice lady who helped me and not Jeff. I guess I’ll need to go back to meet Jeff.

Had three car key copies made in less than 5 minutes. Excellent service!
Was told by another place that I couldn’t have a copy made that would actually be able to start my car, because they said the key contained a chip.
There was no chip present, and Tri Sate Lock made me three copies in no time and they all start my car with no problems!

This shop is a treasure yo have in Ames. Extremely knowledgeable. Lots of parts/keys/locks/extras in stock. Made some, long lost, new keys for my classic car.
